A fabulous weekend of antiquing in the Adirondacks, with live music, food and fireworks in the area, awaits you during the Adirondack Museum Antiques Show, August 14 and 15.
Eclectic and unexpected, the Adirondack Museum Antiques Show and Sale will feature vintage Adirondack furniture, historic guide boats and canoes, genuine Old Hickory, Native American jewelry and artifacts, folk art, Oriental and Persian rugs, Olympic advertising, camp and trade signs, taxidermy, books and ephemera for the collector, and everything camp and cottage. Managed by Rod Lich, Inc., the show draws nearly 3,500 visitors eager to enhance their collections with “finds” from among the almost 80 dealers.
The show will be held at the height of the summer season so make your reservations at Blue Mountain Rest – a very popular travel destination — as soon as possible. After a busy and fun day of antiquing, our clean and comfortable cabin rentals will offer you a welcomed chance to kick back and relax — all against the backdrop of a dramatic wilderness featuring the majestic Adirondack Mountains, sparkling lakes and streams.
And the surrounding towns of Indian Lake and Blue Mountain Lake will host a variety of activities such as tailgate events, bluegrass music and fireworks, during the weekend. With the Adirondack region offering forty-three mountain peaks over 4,000 feet high, miles of rivers, streams and brooks, as well as lakes and ponds, you’ll want to consider making a reservation for a week long cabin rental at Blue Mountain Rest and spend the time hiking, climbing, paddling or fishing, as well as “treasure hunting” and relaxing.
