Lenny & Family, Thank you so much for the kindness and hospitality you have shown me in opening up a very tranquil and beautiful place for me to stay in. Thanks for the respite. Sincerely, Michael Ewing
Good evening Lenny, We were sad to leave. Our weekend snowmobiling trip was awesome. We had an amazing time riding and the trails were perfect. We traveled over 200 miles altogether! I couldn’t ask for better accommodations. Your place is in a perfect location with easy trail access. The cabin we stayed in suited our needs just fine, it was clean, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. We are planning another trip in March with a bigger group and we’re thinking that the largest cabin may suit our needs. I will be in touch soon. Also, thank you kindly for letting us use your garage for the sleds (We give access to our garage if our customers need to make a quick repair). – Kerri Unit 1 Feb 2020
Hi Lenny, Skiing was great! Although we all ended up very tired. Karen Unit 3 Feb 2020
Lenny, Just wanted to say Thank You again for your hospitality over the weekend. The place is absolutely beautiful. Could not have asked for anything more. Matt & Angel Sargen Uni5 Feb 2020
Hi Lenny, Hope all is well with you! Thanks again for your hospitality, we loved our cabin, it was so cute, and cozy, and clean! Enjoy the pictures and see you next time! Jeannine, Barbara and Kate Unit 3 Jan. 2020 ❄️☃️✨?
This was the perfect “home base” for our winter weekend of ice fishing and hiking/snow shoeing. Quick access to Lake Durant and Blue Mountain Lake, and a short drive to Adirondack Lake and Indian Lake for fishing. Less than an hour drive for access to the Tupper Lake Triad for hiking. Amenities were as promised, and Lenny did an excellent job quickly responding to my many questions as they related to things to do in the area as well as the accommodations themselves. Almost hesitant to post this for fear of wanting to keep the place a secret for myself! Highly recommend! Lindsay & Barry C – Unit 1 January 2020
Our stay with Lenny and Boka was extraordinarily nice. Their wonderful hospitality and the striking beauty of the surrounding nature made us want to stay much longer. The cottage itself was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. We really hope to come back at some point and stay at Blue Mountain Rest again. Mona K October 2019
We had a quiet and restful time exploring the area around Blue Mountain Lake where my husband had hiked many of the mountain peaks years (Website hidden by Airbnb) it was also a trip down memory lane. Our unit was warm and comfortable and we wanted for nothing. Autumn was in full bloom and every view was absolutely spectacular. Some of my family are avid snowmobilers and I’ll recommend Lenny & Boka’s place to stay. We’ll definitely come back another time. Marie H-W October 2019
Cabin 5 was perfect for our party of four and two dogs but can accommodate a larger group easily. Very clean, comfortable and cozy. Our visit was short but we enjoyed sitting “in the tree tops” on the huge deck and later around the fire pit. It was perfect lodging for soaking in that Adirondack feel as well as being centrally located for day touring. Lenny and Boka were great hosts. Friendly and knowledgeable, any of my questions were answered quickly through communication with Lenny prior to check-in. And during our stay Lenny offered great suggestions for hiking, dining and various attractions. Kim S Unit 5 Oct. 2019
Lenny and Boka go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and are informed of what there is to do in the area. The room was very clean had everything we needed to be comfortable. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do. The firewood that supplied was dry and it was easy to start the fire with the kindling and tinder. I didn’t find matches but my flint was all I needed to get a roaring fire going in the fire pit. Chris E. October 2019
Excellent hosts, location! We enjoyed your professional and at the same time friendly and helpful behavior, Lenny and Boka. Thank you! Katarina G-R September 2019
Great mountain get away spot! Beautiful cabins, wonderful hosts and super close to the beach where you can rent kayaks and canoes. 101/10 would recommend to anyone looking for the best of the Adirondack experience. Karsten & Andreas- Unit 1 August 2019
Thank you all! We had a great stay. Hope to see you next summer. Maxine & Andrew – Unit 3 August 2019
We had a wonderful stay during our trip north. We visit the park every year during the summer on our travels from Texas, so it was wonderful to have a cabin with everything we needed to cook, and stay (all linens provided). The boys were happy as there was wifi, and cable TV, and I was happy that we had a fire pit! Lenny and Boka were wonderful hosts, and we plan to be back during our trip again next year! Chelsea Roach – as seen on my Facebook
My family LOVES Blue Mountain Rest! We have never thought of staying any where else on our summer vacations in the Adirondacks (this year was 10 years running!). The different sized cabins are beautifully designed, scrupulously clean and each one has its own unique character. Owners Lenny and Boka are wonderful, easy going, and highly professional people who really make you feel right at home. Blue Mountain Rest gets our highest recommendation to anyone who wants a comfortable, affordable and enjoyable stay in the Blue Mountain Lake area. Herb & Theresa Ortiz- Unit 5 August 2019
Hi Lenny – we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was perfect. As soon as we know our plans for next year, we will contact you. Thank you. Allison & John – Unit 3 August 2019

A special thank you for another memorable family weekend at the Blue Mountain Rest! After having missed the past two years (with a wedding and baby and other family events) we were so happy to return for a July weekend together. Thank you for your kindnesses and the wonderful accommodations. We all enjoyed the brief visit – in the sunshine of Friday and Saturday … and even the rain on Sunday and Monday morning. Hope to be planning a return trip up next summer! Have a happy summer! Maureen and Neil Murphy, Carolyn and Baby MJ Molly (and Vada and Todd) Units 5 & 1 – July 2018

Blue Mt. Rest, was a awesome getaway, for us, great location, the room was very nice, with full kitchen, and all supplies, the owners, Lenny and Boka, make you feel right at home, and also a dog friendly place, most definitely will be back soon, thanks again. Rich and Linda and Mack July 2017
Very cute and clean. Owner very accommodating and helpful. We had a power outage the night we stayed and a lot of snow. He got his generator going and kept us warm and comfortable for the night. Tina Jones Mohr April 17
Our group stayed at Blue Mountain Rest for an extended weekend, and we had a great time! Our units were clean, well-stocked, and exactly what we needed for our trip. The trails and scenery surrounding the area were fantastic, and the location was very convenient to North Creek and Gore Mountain. Lenny was also very friendly and helpful! He made sure our units were ready and warm to accommodate our arrival late at night, and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. I’d definitely recommend staying here for anyone looking for a getaway in the Adirondacks. Stephen Witmer January 16

The beds were very comfortable and after skiing a long day we all slept very well. We had no issues all the amenities were fantastic. Lenny & Boka- Thanks for your welcoming lovely paradise in the mountains. We really enjoyed staying here. Kaye Jeager Unit 2 August 2017
Beautiful cabins, although small. Friendly host and hostess. Full kitchen makes cooking a breeze! There are also restaurants about if you don’t want to cook. Smack dab in the middle of the mountains, this is a great place to get away from it all and still enjoy some modern amenities. Dori Smith Unit 3 August 2017

Vacation Haven: Lenny and Boka were extremely accommodating and generous while we were there. The house was very clean, well laid out and comfortable. It is tucked back off the main road and includes a huge deck and a nice walk down to the fire pit. BMR was conveniently located for all of the daily outings we planned and was not a bad ride into the Lake Placid area (something we do yearly.) The ADK museum is basically right around the corner. It was great to see the new interactive additions to the museum as well as a friend’s painting hanging in there. We enjoyed our time (despite our dog becoming sick) and had everything we needed at Blue Mountain Rest. And, it was lovely making the acquaintance of Lenny and Boka and their little dog Jack! Christy Patrick Unit 5- July 2017
Lenny & Boka were fabulous hosts. Our cabin was very clean and anything we needed was there. There is a notebook for guests with information on the area, but you can ask Lenny & Boka as well. The cabin is a few minutes from the lake and a short drive to hiking trails. Kelly Byrne Unit 3 July 2017
We were very comfortable in our unit. Had more than the usual supplied necessities. Greatly stocked kitchen, comfortable beds & bedding. Lenny & Boka were really great hosts! Staying a short distance from the lake enabled us to spend money on a little boat rental. Joy Cooney Unit 1 July 2017
The place exceeded our expectations Lenny, Boka and Jack (dog) are very friendly and helpful. The room was larger, better furnished and decorated than a “cabin”. Their attention to the building and grounds are over the top! Ron Pennock Unit 3 July 2017
We had a very nice room comfortable and clean. Very private. Nice decorations. Good cooking facility. Well equipped. Lenny was very friendly and offered us great suggestions as to where to go to visit and where to eat. We would be happy to return. Met all our expectations. Cal Flachner Unit 2 July 2017
It was clean the owners Lenny and Boka were such nice people and it was only a couple of minutes from the museum! Lynette Heinen Unit 1 July 2017
A cozy cabin for our family. The space is best suited for a family with little ones. Very convenient to the nearby lakes, hiking and area attractions. Lenny and Boka are very friendly and forthcoming with information about the area. Check out the nearby Adirondack Museum if you have a chance. Elizabeth Miller Unit 2 June 2017
Lenny was very welcoming. He called & emailed before the trip to make sure we knew what to expect in the cabin & asked us what our plans were so he could provide recommendations. He & Boka are very helpful people and I’m glad we got to meet them! We were in the area to hike and we were able to get 2 good hikes in, despite cold weather & black flies. The cabin itself is great – very clean, well stocked & with a spacious bathroom. Would recommend Blue Mountain Rest to a friend for sure! Radhika Unit 3 May 2016
Lenny was extremely helpful in guiding us to great trails for snow shoeing, as well as keeping us up to date on the weather for our trip in and as to how much snow would actually be on the ground with how little we’ve seen in Rochester. (There was plenty, and snow shoeing was great!) The room was warm and cozy. We spent a lot of the weekend inside and felt very much at home. Facilities worked well and the propane fireplace was a very nice bonus in our unit. Nice people, comfortable room. Recommended. Andrew Hamilton Unit 3 Feb. 2016
Lenny, Place was great and we had a blast, thanks for everything Frank Tearno, Unit 5 February 2017

Dear Lenny, We had a wonderful stay! When we walked in the door we were welcomed by perfect Adirondack-style decor, warm heat, and a spotless cottage. We had no difficulty making dinner because the kitchen was so well-appointed, then we had a lovely, relaxing weekend. Lenny and Boka were helpful and friendly, offering suggestions for hikes and other activities. We will definitely be back and are happy to recommend them as hosts. 🙂
Dear Lenny and Boka- Wow! What a fantastic place you have! SO warm and welcoming!!! This was exactly what my girls and I were looking for in a Mother-Daughter weekend. Hey Lenny, I was just making sure we didn’t leave u any messes. Also want to thank you and your wife for a lovely relaxing stay. If u want to take a day trip, u should venture to Weston, Vermont, and check out the Vermont Country Store. It was awesome, and I bet your wife would love it. You should take her there and buy her a new nightgown. They have the best!! LOL The drive was beautiful too!! Bobbi Holmes, Unit 5 Oct. 2016

Hi Lenny, Sorry we missed you too. I hope everything was okay in the cabin after we left! Our stay was great, despite the bugs on the first day! The cold weather definitely helped and we had an amazing hike up Blue Mountain. It started snowing on our ascent and it was absolutely beautiful. I will send some pictures as soon as I get them on my computer. Unfortunately we didn’t see Buttermilk Falls but we did hike up Castle Rock before leaving, which was also a good hike. Thanks for all your help and suggestions. We appreciate the time you took to explain the different hikes to us! Best, Radhika Lokur Unit 3 – May 2016
Lenny, Yes I did, but hiking 8-miles a day under the conditions I was hiking/exploring, would be way too much for my 11-year-old Buddy (his dog). In truth, by the second day my feet were telling me it was too much for this 68-year-old guy with one lung. Had a ball, though and caught some Brookies at Wilson Pond. Enjoyed my stay and will undoubtedly be back towards Fall. Tim – Unit 1 May 2016
Lenny, I can say, however, it was the perfect, charming “home away from home”. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and I loved all the homey touches throughout. After skiing all day (at Gore Mt) it was nice to return to such a welcoming place. We were very pleased with our cabin and would recommend it to anyone planning a visit to “North Country”. Thanks again for everything. Nicole & Greg , Unit 2 February 2016
Hi Lenny! We want to thank you for the great time we spend in Blue Mountain Rest in the Adirondacks! It was an amazing experience for us, the place is beautiful!! Thank you for the hospitality! Boka & Lenny, Thanks for everything- especially the yummy treats! See you next September!! Al & Nancy Nelson, Unit 1 Sept 2015 (Antique Show vendors, a annual fall event in Indian & Blue Mt Lake)
Hi Lenny and Boka, Thanks for the letter ! As Jean and I told you in person, we really liked that the eating table in Unit #1 was wider, and that positioning of stools in the kitchen was so much better. We can’t really remember, but we thought the movable shower head / wand was also new. We appreciated it a lot. Kind of makes me want to go out and buy one for ourselves. There seemed to be a new hanging clothes rack in the bedroom, too. Nice touch. Again, we appreciate your wonderful facility and your thoughtful, courteous service. Our best to you both, Ken and Jean Klopp (vendors for the Rustic Fair a fall event annually in Blue Mt Lake) Sept 2015 We had a great time. Made many memories. The cabins were fantastic and we hope to be back next year. Adrianne Bianco , Units 5 & 4 – August 2015
Hi Lenny, We wanted to let you know that our stay was completely wonderful. Your property is spacious and very fun for the kids to explore. We really enjoyed having a bonfire and sitting out back watching the stars. Quite and peaceful yet close to everything. The unit we stayed in was clean and very comfortable. We all really enjoyed our time and are looking forward to seeing you again. Thank you for making our stay extra special. The Laurino Family – August 2015
Hi there Lenny & Boka, We will surely send photos of the wonderful trip we had last week, and send the pros & cons! No problem about mentioning the recycling. My apologies about it………Tim tried to ensure it was sorted. We will keep that in mind for next time. We definitely want to come back and hope you’ll have us! And Carli who misses Jack; he is a real sweetie! (Carli & Jack our dogs). Thank you for renting us your wonderful cabin!! May I have Boka’s zucchini fritters recipe ? Those were delicious!! Hugs to you & Boka. Michelle Murphy & Family , Unit 5- Aug 2015
Dear Lenny, Dear Boka, Thank you so very much for the wonderful time spend in your cozy Blue Mountain Rest. Special thanks for our last evening with you – it was great sharing stories with you and Boka. We will stay in Long Lake Lodge for a new more days and leave for New York early on Wednesday morning. For Tuesday evening we will try to make reservations at the Hemlock Hall for dinner (thanks for your recommendation!). We would be happy, if Boka and you will join us. With many thanks, Stefan and Christine from Germany, Unit 1 August 2015
Thanks for everything, we had a great trip and a wonderful stay at Blue Mountain Rest. It was just what we were looking for. The trip was a great experience for our kids, canoeing on Blue Mountain Lake, swimming off of one of the islands out in the middle of the lake, and hiking above the tree-line on Algonquin with my 8-year old daughter are all experiences that they wouldn’t have had where we live. Thanks for the hospitality. Jason Koon , Unit 3 August 2015
Hey Lenny! We had a fantastic time in The ADKs. We enjoyed Buttermilk Falls ….boat tour of Blue Mountain lake …hiking… the ADK Museum. ..the Wild Ctr..wild walk…the dinner cruise on Raquette lake was fabulous and of course chillin’ at BMR. Boka treated us to a delicious piece of pie which we all enjoyed. In the cabin we all felt dizzy like we were on a boat..especially in the kitchen …has anyone else every noticed that? Kat n Co Unit 2 July 2015
Good Afternoon Lenny! Sorry for the very delayed response. Lenny & Boka, I have stayed at “5-star” hotels and resorts all over the place, and didn’t receive the genuine hospitality that you showed us over the 4th of July weekend. We felt right at home upon arrival, with your warm welcome! All of us guys had an amazing time- hiking, boating and the fireworks at Long Lake. I’ve been to the Adirondacks before, but the hospitality and accommodations that we had that weekend made it top notch! We’re trying to figure out a time next summer to come down and pick back up where we left off. Hope you and Boka enjoyed the treats that we left you in the fridge. And again, All the guys send their greatest Thanks you way for showing us true hospitality and making that weekend one of the most memorable summer weekends of all-time! Until next time Lenny & Boka PEACE! Joshua Walsh, Unit 5, July 2015
Hi Lenny and Boka! We thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality! This was our first time after several years of ‘tenting it’ that we stayed in a cabin and I only have good things to say about the entire experience. You both were so friendly and welcoming. The cabin was very clean, cute and made us feel right at home! I loved all the little touches and decorations around the cabin. We loved having the field out back for our dogs to run, and we really appreciated that we were able to bring our furry family members. The fully equipped kitchen was so convenient, as was the entire cabin. Usually I’m so ready to return to home after camping for a few days, but I have to say this was the first trip to the ADK that I was ready to stay longer because it was just so comfortable and cozy in the cabin. We also appreciated the stop in from Boka with the yummy treat one evening! Thanks for everything, it was a pleasure meeting you both and staying at Blue Mountain Rest! Hope to see you again next summer! Courtney, Jake, Aria, Saphrya and Meeka , Unit 1 June 2015
Hi Lenny- Our stay was great as usual. Thank you for the hospitality. Cabin was great- beds were comfortable…We ‘ll plan to see you both next year!! I’d send some pics, but all ours are from the conference, and the one that seemed to get those microbiologists most excited was a picture of a pile of moose poop they came upon!! https://www.facebook.com/pages/NEMPET/131627046870415 – Have a happy healthy safe year, Karen Hamberger , Unit 1 June 2015
Lenny, We loved our stay at Blue Mt Rest. The kids especially liked the hiking, museum and meeting the horses the morning we left. The apartment was spacious and comfortable with everything in it needed to cook and play (though we brought salt, we forgot pepper so maybe having a few of those basics in it would be nice – though I’m sure people will start leaving things if you let them). The only con was the bed in the bedroom which is really very hard and made it difficult for me to sleep – but everyone else slept well. We will try to come back at a drier time in the future! Carl & Morag, Unit 4 June 2015
Hello dear Lenny and Boka, Sorry it took ME so long to get this to you. So now, my belated gratitude to both of you for the great hospitality and most pleasant memories you made for both Jeanne and myself at BMR. As you know we did go hiking and just enjoyed the nearby scenery and mountain air. The only negative was the black flies!WE WILL BE BACK WHENEVER FINANCES AND TIME PERMITS… Again and evermore thanks so very much for all you did for us! I’ll try sending a snapshot or two taken from our porch cabin. Sister Anne McNulty , Unit 1 May 2015
Here are 2 testimonials & the pictures they took from two guests from Israel that we became friends with very quickly. (Lenny & Boka proprietors):
Hello Mr. Lenny, sorry for the late email as we are back to our daily routine it’s been quite hard to send you an email on our experience. We truly enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back soon! Wishing you the very best, Nili and Shlomo, May 2015 Unit 3

Hi Lenny, Thank you so much for a great presidents week getaway! Sorry it took us a bit to write you, as when we got home we were back in the hectic swing of things! Unlike our relaxing getaway to your Blue Mountain Rest!! The trip was great, the cabin was perfect we loved how we could connect to our friends cabin who were also staying with you. You were so very helpful, welcoming, knowledgeable, and kind. I really think that is a rare and special quality that puts you above any other place we have stayed. (That and your place was very clean!). The surrounding area is beautiful, and the snowmobiling trails right from your place were in great riding condition! We were really shocked how well they kept up with the trails. Thank you again for everything you were a pleasure to meet and we look forward to coming back to Blue Mountain Rest many more times in the future! Laura, Tim, and Luke, Unit 2, February 2015
Hey Lenny, We had a great time. Here are a few pics. Ray & Laura, Unit 1, Feb 2015
Dear Lenny and Mrs Lenny, Thank you sincerely for the wonderful stay and hospitable experience!! We cannot express how appreciative we are and what a fantastic time we had. Right now we both are discussing our next trip back to you during these two hours on our journey home. Tony was so bummed that we didn’t all go out this morning and hit the trails together. Wish we didn’t have to race home to the kids. If you’ll have us again we’d love to keep in touch and see you both again soon!!! Thank you both so much. Dana and Tony Adam, Unit 3, Feb 2015
Dear Lenny & Boka, Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in your cabin. You are great hosts and it was a pleasure meeting both of you! Everything we needed was here for us. Thank you for sharing your beautiful poems and providing us a nice getaway in the Adirondacks. We look forward to returning with the rest of the family. William & April Peck and Buddy, our dog, Unit 5, January 2015
Lenny & Boka, Thank you for having us. The place was great, everything we needed and then some. We appreciate the late check out and you guys putting up with us. We needed this little vacation and Blue Mountain Rest made it possible. The rooms were even nicer than depicted online. I would show more photos! Angelo & Lilac, Unit 3, Jan 2015
Lenny, As for the hunt we had a great time, and saw some really awesome things. Mark got up close and personal with a coyote and got really close several bucks. I saw a few deer but was not able to close the deal this year. Perhaps next year I’ll hit a big one. Overall all was great and I am looking forward to next year as I am sure Mark is. Hope you have a great winter season and will see you next fall. Kindest Regards, Bob & Mark, Returning hunters annually, Unit 2, Dec 2014
Hi Lenny, My mom forwarded Matt and I the email you sent her- we are so sorry we missed you on our way out! We needed to get on the road that morning and couldn’t find you guys. Thanks to you and Boka for being so warm and welcoming, and for helping us with changing cabins. We had such a great time at Blue Mountain Rest, both in the beautiful town and your awesome cabins! We hope to see you again next year, and hopefully we’ll get to experience the food truck. Thanks again, Erin & Matt, Units 1 & 4, August 2014
Lenny, Thank you. We had a great time! Got a early start and left around 8. Get home with time to unpack and relax for a bit. Tim & Sara Munson, Unit 5, August 2014

Thanks so much, Lenny! I am really enjoying being here. Cozy and spacious at the same time. Much needed mini working vacation . This is the first place I’ve stayed where the owner shared his poetry. Wonderful touch! Helps to capture the majesty here. I particularly love the feeling snapshot of A Blue Mt Lake Sunset. Thanks for putting together the Welcome notebook. Very helpful. I love having the kitchen…just wish I brought more food! Thanks again, Andree Clearwater,, Unit 4, Summer 2014
Hey Lenny, We had an absolutely amazing stay over the weekend, it was exactly what we wanted. Olive loved her weekend too You have a wonderful place! Nancy was very friendly and accommodating, but we are sorry we missed you! We will definitely be back for a longer stay next time & hope to meet you then. Thank you so much for everything. I just put up a review on Trip Advisor about our wonderful weekend. Thank you,Megan Steffenhagen,, Unit 1, Oct 2014
Hi Lenny, sorry we missed you before we left early Monday morning (6:30 in the AM). Glad we did not wake you and Boka. My favorite part was the Potato Pancakes! Your rooms are beautiful. I would love the unit layout we stayed and put it on the cabin with the porch (more than likely why I tried to get into that room 😉 Things you can’t control like the traffic but maybe some trees as a noise barrier might help. Location, location, location. Blue Mountain is so central to all of the ADK’s best. Your hospitality is great and your place is super. We are seriously considering coming back next year! All the best, Beth & Kimberly (Ruby too says hi to Jack)
Lenny, Wonderful treatment and we enjoyed a lot and that is why we stayed your place for the second time. Mohammad, Unit 5, Sept 2014
Hi Lenny, We had a wonderful time! The foliage was beautiful and the weather was incredible! You certainly met all our needs and were very accommodating. We enjoyed our stay in Cabin 1. It was clean and very comfortable. The only suggestion we had was to maybe add a couple of folding tv trays. It was kind of tight eating on stools at the breakfast bar. We look forward to coming back next year! David and Cindy,, Unit 1,Sept 2014
Hi, Lenny… We were gone a lot…the other couple had never seen the Adirondacks…We just enjoyed relaxing, the museum, Fort Ti, the foliage and views…my camera wasn’t working right so I missed the picture taking…One thing I really enjoyed was Mount Defiance….what a view…we didn’t get to walk and enjoy the lakes, but hope to get back and do that… David has had three hip surgeries so walking is very limited for him… Thank you…it was a wonderful place, very clean and well kept…we appreciate it! Enjoy the beautiful colors!! David and Karen Ballar,, Units 1 & 2 combined, Sept 2014
Hi Lenny — Cookie Testimonial. One night stay, they drove up from Cranberry Lake and baked us some chocolate chip cookies. Too cute! Chris and Brittany, Unit 4, Sept. 2014

Hi Lenny, I’d definitely have to agree with you about the Blue Mountain Lake area…by far my favorite Adirondack highlights were found around there. The lake, the hike you recommended, the museum and far and away that rafting trip was one of my “life’s favorite things”. I also really liked the looks of the Long Lake area too. When we get our rafting pics downloaded I can add them to the Trip Advisor review, I have several reviews to post from the weekend. Thanks again for the welcoming stay at Blue Mt Rest. Best, Jason & Edwin, Unit 4, Labor Day Weekend
Lenny, We and another family rented adjoining units in one Cabin (#2) with a door that could open in between. It was the perfect amount of togetherness and privacy. We each had a full bathroom which was important with 3 teens. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, even a cheese grater! We appreciated Lenny, the proprietor, providing information on directions, places to eat, best grocery and souvenir bargains, and nicest nearby beach and joked that we should have him available for our next vacation. We have stayed at various cottages in the Adirondacks. Blue Mt. Lake is a beautiful location and hiking to Castle Rock was a highlight. Blue Mt. Rest was a very good value for the money and having a genuinely friendly proprietor was an added perk. Paul, Sally, Monika & Ken, Units 3 & 4, August 2014
Dear Lenny, Thank you so much-we love it here! I hope next time we can stay longer- next year! Here are some veggies we will not use-maybe somebody can? Jenn & Ramon, Unit 5, drive-up stayed one night in August 2014

Lenny, Thanks. We had a great time and enjoyed being able to get away from it all and rest in the beautiful surroundings of Blue Mountain Lake. My wife’s parents are excited about their upcoming stay in September and are already making a lot of plans. We too are looking forward to scheduling vacations with you at Blue Mountain Rest in the future. We ate lunch at the Asian buffet you recommended and dinner at the Red Fox (I think also in the Saranac area) both were excellent and helped make our 10th anniversary more memorable. Below are some pics including the info about the guided boat tour we took at Long Lake. Thanks again for all you did making this a great getaway for us. Isaac & Ana, Unit 1, July 2014
Hi Lenny, Thank you so much for having my friends and I at Blue Mountain Rest! We had a blast, and the cabin was even nicer than we anticipated! And you made us feel right at home and you were very helpful. Having the fire pit out back was really nice and we enjoyed it a lot. Also, having the beach 6 minutes away by walking was really nice. We rented kayaks for the lake, than found a nice local trail to hike on for the rest of the day. Blue Mountain rest was in a super convenient spot for what we wanted out of this trip. On Sunday we went to the water park which was about 40 minutes away, it was 30$ and there was so much stuff to do there. We had a lot of fun! I wish we could have stayed even longer to get some other activities in. We are definitely planning on coming back in the winter so we can go snowboarding and skiing. So I look forward to seeing you again in a few months! Thanks again for giving us an awesome experience. Domonique, Unit 2 Cabin 4 July 18-July 21 2014
Lenny! Thanks for a great weekend at your Blue Mt Rest!!! Maureen Kellick, Neil, Murph, & Molly, Unit 5, July 2014
Dear Lenny, Many thanks to you and your wife for the great hospitality provided. We just began our retirement years together with Mariko retiring from being a high school teacher the previous Friday. We very much enjoyed all of the educational/recreational activities you pointed us to: museum, boat ride, wild life museum, hiking trails, waterfalls, quaint towns to stroll in and the fine dining. We hope to see you again as we plan more traveling and hiking adventures. We are now curious as to hiking in the autumn months! All the Best from: Mariko & Mike,, Unit 3, June 2014
Lenny- What a great place-we really appreciate all your care and attention to detail! -a lovely (yet too short) stay! Lori Koester,, Unit 2, June 2014
Lenny, Nice rooms. I appreciated the amenities and cleanliness (e.g. full kitchen), even if I didn’t get to use it much. Next time! Also enjoyed the binder with information. The poems were a welcome personal touch. Thanks, Randall Huther, bicyclist traveling thru to Tupper Lake and beyond, Brooklyn, NY, Unit 4, June 2014
Lenny, Boka & (Jack, our dog), Thanks for your warm hospitality all week. Much of the reason for the refreshing and enjoyable vacation was because of your kindness and preparations in making me feel right at home. You were wonderful neighbors :). I hope and pray all the best continues for Blue Mt BlueMountainLake1Rest and your endeavors. God Bless! Dan, The Hosier from Indiana, Unit 3, June 2014
Lenny, Thanks for the e-mail. I did get an early start as I had a lot of ground to cover up to Montreal. The museum was excellent, as were your other suggestions for dinner, etc. I will post a review on Trip Advisor when I get a chance, but my stay was very nice. Thanks for switching my room–it was quiet and I had an excellent night’s rest following a very strenuous day. Here are a few pictures I took of Blue Mountain Rest. Thanks again for your hospitality. Alan, The Adirondacks, can be a life changing experience
Lenny- It is great to hear from you and we so enjoyed our visit in 2011 that we moved from Florida to Tupper Lake in 2012 and drive by your place regularly. Good luck this summer. Kaye & family
Kaye- Florida to the Adirondacks, wow that is a big adjustment. I hope staying with us contributed to you life changing decision. There is something about this place, right! In 2011 I don’t believe we had the Grizzly Grill yet. Stop in if you are nearby one day. It would be good to see you. You can tell what is happening in Tupper. Lenny
Hi Lenny, As you’ve surmised, our stay at Blue Mountain Rest was so thoroughly enjoyable that my family talked about our trip for several months and was the catalyst for us picking up our lives in Florida and moving to the Adirondacks! Thanks for being such a great host – you changed our lives for the better! The Grizzly Grill wasn’t open during our visit and I haven’t seen the sign out yet this year, but next time we are coming through we will definitely stop in for lunch and to visit. Wishing you luck on the summer season! Kaye
Kaye- That is an inspiring story. How do you find life in Tupper? There is something about these mountains that are special. But how have you adjusted?. This lifestyle is not for everybody. The Grizzly Grill will be open in July and August primarily on the weekends. Hope to see you there. Lenny
Lenny- we are merging into life up here – we are renting for now as we wanted to make sure we could handle the winters but we love the winters and have made the most of skiing and snow shoeing. Both my husband and I work from home so we were able to move without searching for income in the area. Our son (almost 20 now) was so impressed by your place that he talked of nothing but that trip and wanted to live in the house we rented from you. He lives in Lake Placid now and is enjoying all the outdoors has to offer. We bought a pontoon boat and really enjoy that and the hiking in the area. Each time we drive by your place we wave and say “Hi Lenny, thanks for bringing us to the Adirondacks!”. We’ll see you in July or August then at the Grizzly Cafe! Kaye
Kaye- You gotta love the snow to live in the Adirondacks. But boy wasn’t this a cold winter! Been here 7 winters now and I can’t remember it reaching the 40 below mark which we flirted with several times. The winters here remind me of when I was a child living in Norther Jersey. Christmas is not the same without the white stuff. Did you ski Tupper, other? I ski and snowmobile now because of the all the trails. Let me know where you ski maybe we can hit the slopes one day next winter. Wouldn’t that be funny. Thanks I will post this. If you have a picture from your trip send it. Lenny.
Lenny – We skied Big Tupper and Titus this last winter – missed the snow at Christmas last year though! Skiing sounds good next winter. We haven’t gotten any snow mobiles yet, but that is next on the list! Here are a few pictures from our trip – Hudson River, looking out the door of the house at Blue Mountain, the deck at the house, loon in Blue Mountain Lake, Jumping Rock in Blue Mountain Lake, and hiking on Sawyer Mountain. Kaye
Hi Lenny, We had a wonderful time staying at Blue Mountain Rest. You made us feel very welcome from the first moment, after a long drive in the rain. We loved the cabin, and made excellent use of the kitchen and the grill outside. We had a great time hiking in the area, and the Castle Rock hike you recommended was excellent – I’m attaching a photo I took from there. We also had a wonderful time motoring on Blue Mountain Lake, with Blue Mountain Livery using your coupon book, and got a private tour of the three lakes. We hope to get a chance to visit again, Erez & Dikla, Unit 3, May 2014
Lenny & Boka, You have a wonderful place, thanks for being such wonderful hosts! We will arrange another stay once we have our schedules set. Thanks again and have a great summer! Richard, Melinda & Aaron Singh, Unit 5 , May 2014
Dear Lenny, Very comfortable cabin, nicely decorated. We enjoyed our visit with you. God Bless. The Olsons, Passing thru from Minnesota, Unit 1, May 2014
Lenny and Boca, Thanks for making my trip easier with my re-supply and your wonderful accommodations. was very hard this year with all of the rain and what it did with the trail. on the morning I left with an umbrella in my hands so I didn’t miss my poles till I got past the museum to pick up the trail around blue and didn’t want to walk back to pick them up. I had written a note on my re-supply box that I would be back to pick up the balance of my food and gear when done with the trail but I guess you missed that. no problem as it all worked out.. as it was I finished 2 days early; not bad for a 64 yr old. 2 days I had to hike in water sometimes to my waist. I am going to Colorado in July to do the Colorado trail for 6 weeks and 525 mi and then back to my beloved Adirondacks in the fall. looking forward to seeing you then. flip P.S. I checked with the Northville-Placid trail hikers assn. and you are listed will with them as a stop along the way. my suggestion is to leave cards in a zip lock bag on the SOUTHERN side of the trail 1/4 to 1/2 mile before the road indicating your place of accommodations/food. dangle the worm and the fish will come. once again thanks for all your help. Flip Purvis, Hiker on Northville/Lake Placid Trail, Unit 2, May 2014
Lenny, We had a fantastic time – the hiking was indeed slick, and the trail to Castle Rock became too deep with snow about 1/4 mile in, so we had to turn back. However, we did have a backup plan, so we were able to trudge through the snow at Buttermilk Falls and enjoy lunch by the water, which was great. If we return to the area in the future, it will definitely be with Blue Mountain Rest – thanks for providing awesome lodging! Best, Alex & Stephanie, Unit 1, April 2014
Hi Lenny, I’m very sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. It’s been insanely busy since we got home. We had such a blast on our spring break! You and your wife were so wonderful. We are so grateful that you took the time to show us some of the trails with your snowmobile. It was much more fun with you showing us around! We were so impressed by how clean the cabin was and it was so relaxing to just show up and not have to set up anything. Your recommendation on which mountain to ski was most helpful. It was inexpensive and perfect for beginners (Mac Cauley Mt). Although I was the only one to make it off the bunny hill, we all had a great time! We had such a great time that we are considering making this an annual trip! ADK Mt. Sports was a pain to deal with at first. The snowmobile we rented was late to be delivered and initially broken. It took them over an hour to fix it. We still had to pay for a full day but we didn’t end up getting the snowmobile until two hours after we were scheduled to pick it up. My friends were from Iran, China and India. They are jealous that I will be back up for a week in the summer. I am definitely going to stop by Blue Mountain Rest to try some of your wife’s cooking! Thank you so much Lenny! May God bless you and your wife. Amanda Wakefield, Unit 5 March 2014
Lenny, Our stay was great. Great value. Loved the Indian Lake Tavern for dinner. We went twice. The heat was a little fluky but otherwise, no complaints at all. We actually went to Old Forge Friday and Saturday. WE stayed with my Brother in Law. Thanks again. I looked on my phone and i don’t have such great pics. I will forward this to my wife so that she can send you picture from the top of Gore Mt. Amy & Faz, Unit 3, Feb 2014
Lenny, thanks for your hospitality, we really liked your place. I hope we didn’t make too much of a mess. Hope to see you again. Regards, AJ
Lenny, Colorado and I just wanted to thank you for our wonderful weekend at Blue Mtn Rest. Your hospitality and kindness made it so enjoyable. We have already recommended it to friends. Please tell your wife thank you for her delicious food!! It was so thoughtful and we appreciated it so much. Looking forward to staying with you again. Sincerely, Christine & Colorado, Unit 3, Jan 2014
Hi Lenny, My family and I had a wonderful retreat at your establishment. The cabin was spacious and cozy, the decor was pleasant but most importantly we were able to enjoy a wonderful weekend away from the city. We are trying to decide whether we will make this an annual event with more people or if we will come back in the summer. Thank you and your wife for your hospitality. Hope to meet you on our next trip. We will be in touch. Lastly, here here some pictures we took. Janet P, Unit 5. Jan 2014
Dear Lenny, We had a great time staying at Blue Mountain Rest! The house is beautiful, clean and taken care of. Kitchen had all the equipment necessary to cook anything we wanted. We used the fireplace everyday to dry our gloves after long days of skiing. Everyone noticed that the house is very warm, heater was working constantly. Blue Mountain Rest is conveniently located close to major hiking trails, beautiful Blue Mountain Lake and Gore Mountain. We are planning on coming back during the summer, for much longer than only 3 days. Thank you for your hospitality! We recommend BMR to everyone. Maya and Friends, Unit 5, Jan 2014
Hello Lenny and Boka! We really had a wonderful time in the Adirondacks. I’ll gladly post a review on Flip Key, doing it right now. Here are a few photos attached that I took while there. Also, I noticed a lot of artwork around the cabin. I am an amateur photographer trying to spread my name. Please let me know if you’re interested in displaying some new photography in your cabins. I’ll gladly send you some if you could simply let people know of my name and website. Again thanks very much, Asja & Kay, Unit 2, November 2013
Asja, Your photography is stunning! I took art classes in high school and art history in college. When I opened the first picture I didn’t recognize the landscape. I looks like you were in the Alps not the Adirondacks. The composition, perspective, color and lighting just perfect. I see you got on the fire tower in Blue Mt and I’m just wondering where the walkway was? And the flat plains pic was that by Rock Lake? If you would like I’ll post your pics on my testimonials page with your phone # or email address, with some of my commentary as to why they should contact you. Also if you post and tag on my Facebook that might open a door or two. You are certainly very talented. You can get to my FB thru my web site. Thanks for the heartfelt review on Flip Key too! It was a pleasure having you both and hope to see you again in Blue Mt one day. Lenny
Hi Lenny, Thank you so much – that is wonderful to hear! The walkway was taken on the first day when we were hiking towards Mount Marcy. The flat plains pic was on the drive to Adirondack Loj. Our favorite view was at the top of Blue Mt though. That was just incredible. Yes, if you could give them my email: radja.asja@gmail.com and perhaps a link to my facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/asjaradjaphotography. I’ll be adding many more Adirondacks photos there today then. I’ll post and tag on yours like you said. Wonderful, thanks again! It was a pleasure staying on your properties. Warmest regards to Boka, Asja
Dear Lenny, Yes, we did climb up to the top. It was an awesome hike. The weather was sunny and the view was perfect up there. Thanks for recommending it! The only reason why this is not a 5 star review (as seen on Trip Advisor) is that the lodge is not on Blue Mt. lake. But the lake is 2 minutes away, so one can go fishing there anytime. The amenities are cozy and comfortable. The room are done with taste, and the owner Lenny is very friendly and helpful. He directed us to a few places where we could hike, fish, and sight see, so even though it was raining when we arrived, we had plenty of options for a nice getaway. This whole part of upstate NY is a must see! Ivialo & Kay, Unit 3, November 2013
Dear Boka and Lenny, It was a pleasure meeting you both and Jack, the dog. Thank you for everything. Boka, thanks for the pie. It was delicious! Tina & Mike, Unit 3 November 2013
Dear Lenny, Location, location, location. Blue Mountain is so central to all of the ADK’s best. Your hospitality is great and your place is super. We are seriously considering coming back next year! Beth & Kimberly, Unit 3 October 2013
Dear Lenny, Though the time was short, our family have really had a wonderful and comfortable night in your lodge. Especially it was a unique experience for my grandpa-in-law, who has already been 85 years old and in United States for the first time. We enjoyed the great view around your lodges and wish to see you again during our next vacation to Adirondack! Thank you very much! Jiajie family living in NYC from China visiting with Grandparents, Unit 5, August 2013
Dear Lenny, We had a great time @ BMR. You have a terrific location, just a 10 minute walk from Blue Mountain Lake. I walked my dog up the road to the lake both mornings we stayed with you. The lake is beautiful – clear waters, limited development. In the middle of town there is a small public beach where you can put in a kayak and explore – a great way to see the historic camps and the islands that are kept as public parkland. See attached photo of me putting our kayaks in at the public beach. We also took a terrific hike up Goodnow Mountain, just a 20 minute drive from BMR. Took about an hour to hike up to the rocky summit and fire tower, that provided amazing views of the high peak region – see attached photo. After that we took a paddle on Henderson Lake, a pristine body of water that is a ½ mile portage (i.e. you have to carry your boat in) from the public parking lot. For those with the stamina, I highly recommend this lake – absolutely no development, surrounded by high peaks. When it rained for a few hours, we spent some time at the Adirondack Museum – just up the road from BMR. Excellent exhibits on boat making (Adirondack guide boats) and the history of the region. Take care, Roger Schwabacher, Unit 5 July 2013
Dear Lenny, We had a fantastic time! Unit 5 was cozy and a great place to stay for our family. The fire pit was very large and wonderful for a group to just relax and sit around. It was nice to have such a family friendly experience that accommodated our large family. The hosts truly made you feel welcomed. We would recommend Unit 5 for any large family. Blue Mountain area was also so much less touristy then Old Forge or Lake Placid which was exactly what we were looking for. Attached are some photos from the top of Blue mountain. Thanks again, Carl and Michele Kolasny, Unit 5 July 2013
Lenny, We just wanted to thank you again for a wonderful stay at Blue Mt Rest on Friday & Saturday. With the excitement happening in Indian Lake (Governor Cuomo’s Adirondack White Water Challenge) & your area during this busy weekend – we appreciate your kind considerations. Hoping we’ll be able to get away again next July to make the annual trip up to BLUE. I’ll stay in touch. All the best to you and your lovely wife! Maureen, Neil and Molly, Unit 2 July 2013
Lenny, I really appreciated being allowed to camping at Blue Mountain Rest. That was really generous of you and made my day a lot more enjoyable. Breakfast the next day and chatting with you, your wife, and Doug was a treat! After I left on Thursday morning I made it as far as Saranac – 90 miles! On Friday I finished my trip, first riding north to Rouse’s Point and then south to Burlington Vermont. It was a great end to a wonderful journey! I’ve been keeping a blog that you can get to here:xxxxxxxxxxx Most of the action is passed but I’ll be updating it a few more times with post-travel thoughts. Anyway, thanks again. It was a pleasure meeting you and I hope to be back through Blue Mountain Lake someday. Best, Andy, Bicyclist biking from Minnesota to Vermont, Camped at BMR for 1 night in July 2013
Hi Lenny and Boka, We were very happy with our stay at your Blue mountain rest. We had a conference at Minnowbrook, but also went canoeing and did some local shopping- I love the museum shop. It was nice to get a chance to talk with you guys!- We recommended your place to some of the other conference attendees for future years- We have a pic of Craig and Jacob canoeing on the lake- Best wishes and thanks again. Karen & Craig, Unit 2, June 2013
Lenny & Boka, Thank you so much for letting us stay here again this year! We greatly appreciate your hospitality and kindness! Your place is beautiful! Thank you with love. Unit 3, Phi Delta Epsilon, Pre Med Students, Albany Med
Wow going across Blue Mountain Lake (on my snowmobile) sounds like fun! Attached are some photos from our stay….. The house was clean, well equipped kitchen, comfortable couches/bed and the scenery was amazing. It was the perfect setting and really gave us an opportunity to relax. Last week this time I would be enjoying a beer by the fire, now I’m sitting at a desk with water next to me with a to do list that’s doesn’t seem to get any shorter. But you’re right it’s interesting work and my co-workers are fun people to be with. Tony is really itching to return to the Caribbean next winter but Blue Mountain Rest will definitely be on the return list for the following winter. There’s something about that section of the Adirondack’s that touches my soul other sections can be commercialized and I prefer the more natural settings. Also it’s a wonderful experience to share with our dogs. We are very grateful you allow them and I know they enjoyed themselves as much as we did. Thanks again for a wonderful week and for the ride on the snow mobile. Renee and Tony and their three “pointer sisters” – German Shorthair Pointers, Unit 5, March 2013
Many Thanks To Lenny and his wife for making my first trip to the Adirondacks a memorable one. Hopefully I can make a visit during the lush green spring and summer seasons. Aaron Francis, Unit 2
Hey Lenny, just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had again! We will always recommend Blue Mountain Rest. Tricia, Aldo, Diane & Joe, Unit 1 & 2, February 2013
Lenny, had a great time at Blue Mountain Rest. as always. Here are some pictures of our last stay over New Year’s. Thank you! Gina Carola, Unit 3, New Year’s Weekend 2012
Hello, Just wanted to write back and say how awesome our stay was. even though we just came for a quick stay we loved everything about that cabin. we didn’t do much around that area because we were on our way to Rochester, but we have talked more than once since about planning a weekend stay. I will be sure to stay in touch! Alex Ploofer, Unit 5, Dec 2012
Hey Lenny, Hope things are nice and cold up there in the ADKs. I am actually driving up from NJ again this Friday for another hike with the Albany Chapter group on Saturday. Further north from you up in Keene. Got all my cold weather gear packed. I am expecting a lot of snow just from seeing the weather maps on TV. My stay with you was short but very comfortable. I had everything I needed in that cabin. I was too tired to see much of what was nearby. Will have to do that another time. Next time I’m hiking in the area I will definitely call to see if you have a cabin free. Things I loved about the cabin – the heating. In some places the heat is regulated centrally so you can’t turn it up or down yourself when you’re feeling cold. So your heating system was a big plus for me. Your kitchen had just everything I needed and all so clean. Same for the bathroom, lovely and clean. I only have 2 items you could improve, the shower needs a light above it and I had to work hard to get the front door shut enough to lock it. So no real “bad stuff”. Hope your winter is nice without being too brutal Henrietta, Member of the ADK Mt Club, Unit 1, Dec 2012
Lenny, Our stay was great. Bob got the deer, a beautiful old big 8 pointer. I tracked many in the snow, but they outran me! It was great. Look forward to next year. Take care, Mark & Bob, Unit 2, Nov 2012
Hi, Lenny & Boka—wanted to let you know that we had a great time during our stay at Blue Mt. Rest. We were there the end of July for the Powers family reunion. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and you are super friendly and accommodating—we felt very welcome! And we loved the Grizzly Grill—it’s a nice addition. The only negative thing I can think of is that you’re not on the lake…but you can’t have everything:) We plan on coming back next summer. Thank you! Londy and Ed Powers, Unit 1 July 2012
Dear Lenny & Boka, We much enjoyed our stay in your place! Thank you! We spent our day at the Adirondack Museum! Great day to do it too as it rained of and on that whole day! … Oh and thanks for the recommendation on dining! We ate at the Indian Lake Tavern the 2 nights we were there! Wonderful meals (pot roast and apple pie the second night! I know we must have gained 5 pounds in 2 days!). Thanks again! Trish and Scott Stephen. Unit 1, Oct 2012
Hi Lenny & Boka, Thank you for being such gracious hosts to us this summer. We stayed with you 3 times, each time in a different unit, and always they were neat, clean, and nicely decorated. We really appreciate that. I hope the (Grizzly) Grill is going well and you two are not burning yourselves out with the 2 businesses. Enjoy your trip/vacation/cruise, and I’ll see you again soon God willing. Michael Forward, Units 6, 5 & 4, 2012
Hi Lenny, We had a great time and will be back. We stayed in cabin 4. We would probably choose that unit again. There was plenty of room for us and Daisy (his dog). The Adirondack Museum was fantastic. We didn’t have time to see all of it. Enjoyed breakfast from the Grizzly Grill. Thank you for the hospitality. We hope to see you next year – Jerry Smith, Sept 2012
Lenny, Just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay with you. The rooms were very clean and nice. We look forward to returning in the near future to enjoy some of your wife’s good cooking. We’re just sorry we weren’t able to stay longer. Your visitors may enjoy going down the road to the Lake Durant Campground and hiking up to see Tirrell Pond. Thank you again, Joan & JC Platt, Unit 4 & Unit 1, Aug 2012
Lenny, Deb and I would like to thank you for making our stay at Blue Mountain Rest a memorable one. It was so nice to get away and relax and enjoy some of the beautiful sights around the area. The cabin was extraordinary and the decor very impressive and comfortable. It was very peaceful and we still marvel at the gorgeous atmosphere. You were very helpful with your insights of the area and we were overwhelmed with the beauty of the area and your hospitality. Continued success and please thank Boka also.By the way those breakfast sandwiches were delicious. Thanks again, Nick and Deb, August 2012
Hey Lenny, How are things? How is Boka (my wife)? Jack (our dog)? Did you get the photos? If not let me know and I will resend. We had a great time. I could send more photos of the activities, hiking, kayaking, rafting…… We had a great time with all of them. The only thing I would suggest is upgrading the TVs to larger screen LCD’s. You already have Satellite TV service (& WiFi), better TVs would be a nice addition for nights or rainy days. That aside, the rooms were very comfortable, more like a home, especially with Boka’s personal touch in the decorating. Hope to go again in the future. Thanks, George, Corey, Danielle and Deanna,, Unit 4, July 2012
Lenny, We really enjoyed our stay in your cute cabin and the good service and advice. We had a lot of fun in the area. It is beautiful in that part of the state. A picture of Blue Lake taken on our hike to Castle Rock is included. Thanks, Ruth, Unit 2 , July 2012
Thank you Lenny and Boka for being so helpful and hospitable during our stay at BMR. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the cozy cabins which made you feel like you were in the wilderness. We could only stay 2 nights but we had an excellent time. We hiked Blue Mountain and Sawyer Mountain and the views from both were outstanding. The beaches are very nice and the area provides many attractions that we would love to come back and enjoy. Well take care and hope the Grizzly Grill is a hit! Talk to ya soon. James and Michelle, Unit 1, June 2012
Thanks for making our June visit another great one. When we stay at Blue Mountain Rest it seems like “home away from home”. I can’t wait to return. Thanks for everything. Robin Bauer, Unit 2, June 2012
Wanted to thank you for our stay. Your accommodations are exceptional, Boka you are so welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed our stay. Again, Thanks!! Candy Dunn, Unit 5, May 2012
Boka and Lenny, Thank you for dinner, it was delicious and your great hospitality. Paul and Sandra, Unit 6, June 2012
Motorcyclists that stopped in for one night going from Ohio to Quebec City, CA
Lenny, We really enjoyed our stay with you; the cabin was great. You are doing a really great job with the place and of course, the area is really beautiful. Hope to see you again later this year. Richard and Linda, Unit 4, June 2012
Lenny & Boka, Thanks for making yet another stay most enjoyable. Your place is like “a home away from home” every time I stay there. The shrimp sampler was an extra special treat. I can’t wait to come up when the food wagon (our new venture the Grizzly Grill will be opening soon) is in operation. Thanks again Robin Bauer, Unit 2, June 2012
Hi Lenny & Boka, We had a great stay at Blue Mt. Rest. We went canoeing Blue Mountain Lake and hiked Blue Mountain. We also saw the Adirondack Museum. We liked the cabin and it was very comfortable and nice. We had a fun time there and hope to return soon. Please let us know if you have any specials during the fall season. We were hoping to come over to see the fall colors. Thanks. Ittehad & Azra, Unit 2, June 2012
Just wanted to let you know that we loved our stay at your cabin. It was nice to find a place big enough to comfortably fit my entire bachelor party. Not to mention the awesome deck and fire pit. We drove up from Ithaca for the party and to do some whitewater rafting. Your place was only 10 min from the company we used, which was super convenient. Also, Boka’s zucchini fritters were amazing. They alone would have made the trip worth it. Thanks for having such a great place we will definitely stay with you guys again if we ever come back to the area. I attached a picture of the guys in their bachelor party shirts. Thanks again. Jeff Probert. Unit 5, May 2012
Hi Lenny and Boka- Has been an extremely busy few weeks at school-year end regents etc. So nice to hear from you. Yes, Bodhi and I enjoyed our stay with you last month very much! Loved our cozy camper and the beautiful mts. and lake nearby. Especially loved the “suprise meal” on Friday- thanks again for that Boka, you are an incredible cook! Also loved that Bodhi could run around with Jack -I know they both enjoyed that. Hope you are both well. Look forward to visiting there again, perhaps in August or September. Take care. Nancy & Bodhi, Unit 6, May 2012
Bocca, Thank you so much for providing us shelter from the storm. Your cottage is lovely and the experience was wonderful. We ill tell all our friends about this place. God bless you and your husband. Brian & Francie, Unit 2, June 2012
Hello Lenny, Thanks for your hospitality. I hope to be back to the ADK soon and will recommend you to any “birder” who is planning to go up (a “birder” is a bird watcher). Your location is in a good strategically place for several good birding locations. You and Boka should go across the street one evening at dusk and listen for the American Woodcocks sounding their “peent” (very nasal weird sound). This is their time of the year to find mates. Best, Anders, Unit 1, March 2012
Dear Lenny, Everyone in our group enjoyed the experience: we came up there to do some hiking/snowshoeing and we found lots of possibilities. While the weather wasn’t the best on the first two days, with some light showers alternating, we still dared to embark on a hike in the snowy woods. Actually, it was thanks to the cold and humid that we were able to shoot some great pictures at the mist over a frozen lake. The last day the sun came out and we headed for the lookout on top of Blue Mtn, the view was very nice and we spent some time in the warm sun on the top. The house proved to be welcoming and spacious, we were a group of 8 and I think it is quite the perfect number to enjoy it. Our group included people from 5 different countries (Italy, China, Belgium, Indian & Brazil), so after the daily hikes, we had some truly international dinners. We spent the evenings playing games in front of the fireplace. I attached a couple of pictures, all the best. Pietro, Unit 5, March 2012
Hi Lenny, We were sorry we missed you as well! Boka was wonderful and we had a great stay! Thanks so much! Sofia & Ian, Unit 1, March 2012
Lenny, Hey Lenny how are you doing i just wanted to send you an email about our stay on February 24th, 25th, and morning of the 26th the cabins were so great we felt like we were home.We had a great time with all the snow it definitely was different then what we get down here at home. I have enclosed some photos of our event that we had done while we were staying at your place. My wife and I are talking about a summer stay at your place since we have liked the area and would like to go hiking up there and take in some of the lovely wildlife around the area. I will definitely will recommend your place to any of my friends that want to go up to that area for a stay thanks again for everything that you have done for us and taking our reservation a couple of weeks before the date we needed it was greatly appreciated again here are some of our pictures that we have took on our stay. P.S. The group photo of all the Geocachers my brother and myself and my son are in the very back row and my wife is in the front in the bright yellow Geocaching T-shirt that she had won at the raffle they had at lunch time, also a picture of the welcome sign that we had seen when we arrived at the long lake fire house where the event was held. kevin hoadley, Unit 4 Feb 2012
Lenny, We had a great time as always! We snow shoed the snowmobile trail across the street and the loop trail in Indian Lake and it was beautiful! Thank you so much for the quick response with the portable heater when the heat stopped working! Your place is always so clean and cozy. The only thing I can think of that I would like is ice in the freezer to make that “arrival drink” once we unload! Thanks for your continued hospitality and hope to see you soon!! Jill Skeddle and Chuck Traub, Unit 1, Jan 2012
Hi! I stayed at your establishment in January for one night so that I could attend a Museum “Cabin Fever” program on Sunday and then do some research at the museum library on Monday. I did get a chance to snowshoe a short distance on the N-P Trail on Sunday evening/night. You have a great location for both venues—the trail and the Museum! Was so very glad you were open and accommodations available so that I didn’t have to drive somewhere else. It was great to have a kitchen (well-equipped) and a warm place to stay. Thanks again for your hospitality, and for being there! This is the first time I have ever had an establishment follow up on my stay! Mary Kunzler-Larmann, Unit 1, Jan 2012
Lenny, We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was very nice and comfortable. We do appreciate the snowmobile ride! Thank you once again! With regards, Soumita, Unit 5, Feb 2012
Hi Lenny, I just wanted to drop you a quick line with some photos of our time at Blue Mountain Rest. It has taken me a while to get them organized! We loved our all too short time at BMR. The surrounding scenery is superb and you were great hosts, teaching us to build fires and sharing your home cooking to complement our somewhat rustic hot dog and marshmellow cooking! Thanks and best wishes for the future! Tim Bates, Unit 2, Brits on tour – Aug 2011
Lenny, Thank you for everything. We are looking forward to coming back. Sincerely, Daniel and friends, Unit 4 crew 🙂 New Years Eve, Dec 2011
Lenny, I wish we were headed back so soon! Happy Holidays. Kima Butters, Unit 6 , Summer 2011
Lenny, We had a great trip. While I did not get a deer, Bob did on the last day – a nice fat 8 pointer. That is his 3rd buck in 5 years of hunting the north country. My son and I tracked a beautiful buck all day and caught up to him by the end of the day, but just could not close the deal. Great day nonetheless – hunting with my son is probably one of my favorite things to do in this world. Those are the memories that make our hunting trips great. The accommodations were great, and the price was right. We will be back next year! Take care and have a wonderful new year. Mark Hunters, Nov 2011, Unit 2
Lenny, Thank you for letting us stay in your camper. from Deminica and Meghan. Tamara Richards, Deminica & Meghan, Unit 6, August 2011
Lenny, Went whitewater rafting with the guys and it was AWESOME !!! Here are some photos of our adventure. We’ll be back in January for snowmobiling. Andrew Brandt, Unit 5, Whitewater rafters, April 2011
Lenny, Good to hear from you. my stay with you folks was quite pleasurable. having never stay in a trailer and having had thoughts of getting one it was great way to find out the ins and outs so to speak. certainly a different “style”. have a great fall and winter. maybe i will come up in the winter. for now I am getting ready to go to Africa and climb Mt Kilimanjaro. take care… Laura, Unit 6, Sept ’11
Hi Lenny, Yes all went well. Our cabin was absolutely beautiful. We hiked for a few hours on Monday morning and was so sore, we decided to take a sea plane ride in the afternoon. It was an expense we couldn’t afford but so worth it. I had never been up in one so of course I loved it and the scenery was gorgeous. I got some good epics and will send them on as soon as I get them developed. I absolutely loved the cabin, the decor and my husband has not had any soup with beans in it since we got together so that was a treat for him to have the soup your wife made! THANK YOU so much, Sheri and Tim Ennis (It was a great first anniversary and almost like we were on a second honeymoon!) Unit 5 , Sept ’11
Hello! We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated your kindness and hospitality. We hiked up blue mountain which was a nice day hike and had great views at the top. We also loved kayaking around blue mountain lake and stopping off at some of the little islands along the way. Eaton lake was a beautiful fishing spot although we didn’t catch any fish 🙁 . But having our own fire pit outside of our room really tied the outdoors experience together. Usually we go backpacking and hike to our destinations, pitch a tent, and brave the wild. But since it was getting cold we decided to go with the more pampered outdoors experience. Our room was great, the only complaint is that the bed made a lot of noise, but other than that it was exactly what we wanted. Our Beagle Bruce had the time of his life. I’m so glad we could take him along for the adventure because he is part of our family and he loves to hike and explore. It’s a rare occasion to see him worn out and mellow, but he was after this trip. He had a great time playing with your dog Jack too. Thanks again, hope to return soon! Sincerely. Amanda & Rebeca, Unit 1, Sept ’11
Lenny, Thank you! Your place is so comfortable and so beautifully decorated- we loved our one night here. Have a great day and God bless… (This testimonial is from a couple who drove up needing a room). Unit 4, Sept ’11
Lenny, We closed our 2011 summer with a visit to the Adirondacks. Friends have always talked to us about the beauty and peacefulness found in the Blue Mountain area and we have confirmed their opinion. While visiting the area we hiked and went white water rafting, and both activities occupy privileged spots in our memory. The same is to be said about the quality of your accommodations and the special interest you demonstrate in making your guests enjoy the area, and your restaurant recommendations were very accurate. We are looking forward to do some snow related activities sometime in the winter and for sure next summer to explore the lakes which, due to lack of time, we were unable to do. Congratulations for the job you have done with your place and keep improving it; your idea of serving breakfast in a short future is awesome!! Sincerely, Luis and Marisol, Unit 2, August 2011
Mr. B: The breakfast was great! (at Cedar River Golf Course) We were the only ones there eating, but the food was good, hot and prices very reasonable. Thanks for telling us about that spot, as we were ready for breakfast, especially the coffee. Also enjoyed our stay at Blue Mountain Rest. Hopefully Nancy (our neighbor) will have another fundraiser with the same band and we can visit Blue Mt. Rest again. Enjoy the rest of the year and again, you and Mrs. B made us feel comfortable. (you too Jack (our dog). Bob & Roseann DiLorenzo, Unit 2, August 2011
Hi Lenny, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you – we’ve been trying to re-enter the real world after our summer vacation. Our trip and stay with you at the Blue Mountain Rest in the Adirondacks was extraordinary and exceeded all of our expectations. The accommodations were bigger than I anticipated and the private fire-pit and outdoor modern “outhouse” really added to an already wonderful accommodation. I really liked having the hard floors with area rugs strewn throughout as none of us are proponents of wall-to-wall carpeting. The decorations in the unit were wonderful and made us feel welcome. We really enjoyed the stay and felt that you were an excellent, welcoming host that made us feel at home. Keep up the great work – we will be back, hopefully very soon!……. We really enjoyed the area and are interested in coming back for an extended stay of several months – would like to explore the possibility of relocating to the area but feel that we would need to visit during the winter for an extended period before committing to a true relocation. Would love to hear any suggestions you have for arranging an extended stay at monthly rates that would accommodate 3 of us plus our dog during the winter season and would also like to see about getting access to a snow mobile or 2 for a period of time while we were there. Anything you could suggest would be appreciated. p.s. I sent in a review to Trip Advisor as well and encourage you to use any of my review that you would like to post to your website – I’ve also included a couple of pictures from the summit of Sawyer Mountain, the Indian River, the Jumping Rock in Blue Mountain Lake, Bullhead Pond, and the chair at the Adirondack Museum that I think really show off some of the area scenic sights. Best Regards, Kaye Noullet, Unit 5 , July 2011
Hi Lenny & Boka, This was a second summer we stayed in Unit 5, and we loved the place, the area, and your hospitality. We appreciate how well you keep the place, and we love Unit 5. It is specious, has a great deck, and the area of the fire place is just wonderful. We enjoyed hiking the blue mountain, and the various water activities in the area. The weather was wonderful during our stay, which was the icing on the cake. We hope to spend more time in your wonderful place in the coming years. Mengis & family, Unit 5 , July 2011
Lenny, We really enjoyed staying at your accommodations. The teenagers absolutely loved having their own space. The Wi-fi and direct TV was perfect for coming back to, after a long day of adventures. It made it feel quite like home. My two year old could watch “Dora the Explorer” before falling asleep and the teenagers could be on “Face-Book” uploading pictures of their day. Your living space is comfortable and cozy feeling. ……… We were extremely happy with everything furnished to the point of being like we were at home. Down to the coffee filters. I love flowers and I was very pleased to have such a nice array of them. The porch was perfect for an early morning coffee rocking my infant while the rest of my family slept. Other than missing the opportunity to cook s’mores in the fire ring outback one night, I’d say our trip was perfect and my family had a great time. We hope to see you next year. Thanks Lenny, Paul, Jody and family, Unit 1, July 2011
Lenny, We had a fantastic time at Blue Mountain Rest. The cabin was great and we loved the area. We’ll certainly be back very soon. Some highlights from our trip: Great birding on Moose River Road (from Inlet), the Adirondack museum was a lot of fun, and the view from Castle Rock was spectacular! We would have liked some better weather for our trip to the summit of Blue Mountain, but we very much enjoyed the hike up. Kayaking on Blue Mountain Lake on Monday was absolutely perfect. I’ve attached a few photos that we think turned out nicely. Thanks for letting us know about the birding festival that happens in June. We’ll certainly check that out next year. We had pretty good luck over the last few days while hiking in total, we saw 60 bird species all within 20 miles of Blue Mountain Rest: American crow, American goldfinch, American redstart, American robin, Barn swallow, Black and white warbler, Black-capped chickadee, Black-throated blue warbler, Black-throated green warbler, Blackburnian warbler, Blue Jay, Bonaparte’s Gull, Boreal chickadee, Brown-headed cowbird, Cedar waxwing, Chipping sparrow, Common grackle, Common loon, Common merganser, Common raven, Common yellowthroat, Dark-eyed junco, Downy woodpecker, Gray catbird, Great blue heron, Hairy woodpecker, Herring gull, Hooded merganser, Magnolia warbler, Mallard, Mourning dove, Northern flicker, Osprey, Ovenbird, Palm warbler, Pileated woodpecker, Pine warbler, Purple finch, Red-breasted nuthatch, Red-tailed hawk, Red-wing blackbird, Ring-necked duck, Rose-breasted grosbeak, Ruby-throated hummingbird, Ruffed grouse, Scarlet tanager, Song sparrow, Swainson’s Thrush, Swamp sparrow, Tree swallow, Tufted titmouse, Turkey vulture, Veery, White-breasted nuthatch, White-throated sparrow, Wild turkey, Wood thrush, Yellow-rumped warbler, Yellow warbler, and Yellow-bellied sapsucker! Thanks again to you and your wife for being so accommodating. There is no question about where we’ll stay on our next trip to the Adirondacks 🙂 All the best, Brett and Krystal, June 2011, photos below © Brett and Krystal
Hi Lenny, We love Blue Mountain Rest a lot. We went to three hiking trails and had wonderful time. We will definitely visit Adirondacks again in the near future and will also stay BMR again when we visit next time. Thank you Ellen Wu & friends, Unit 4, May 2011
Hi Lenny, We have talked about coming back yearly to get the same group together since we rarely get everyone together. We were very happy with our stay. We had a such a great time. The accommodations were fantastic, everyone was friendly and was exactly what I was hoping for. Thank you so much for being willing to take on a bachelor party and I do apologize if we did disturb anyone. I know we were up late both nights so I hope that there were no complaints. If we put something like this together again, I will make sure we plan ahead for the white water rafting since we did miss out on that. Regardless, it was a wonderful experience, thanks for everything. I will join you on facebook. Thanks again, looking forward to another trip to Blue Mountain Rest! Matt Codd, Unit 5, May 2011
Hi Lenny, Becky and I had a great time in early March. We are thinking of coming back in the summertime. We loved the place and area. It was a great escape from life for a while. Thanks again. Bryan n Becky, Unit 4, March 2011
Hi Lenny. We had a great time. We didn’t fish, but we were out 4-5 hours a day snow shoe hiking and Conrad did some skiing. One day we hiked the Northville-Placid trail for a few hours. We hiked down the snowmobile trail, then to Rock Lake and connected to the Rock River Trail. We really enjoyed the bigger cabin. Yes, Merle stopped by to let us know he was there to help if we needed him. Gina & Conrad Carola, Unit 4, March 2011
Hi Lenny, My stay went well, although for some reason it seems to snow up there every time I’m there :). Ran to Stewarts the first night to get some stuff, and stayed in to relax without noise (love how quiet it is). I did take a little hike, it was short lived since I started sinking in the snow up to my thighs when I was about 3/4 mile in…thought of buying snowshoes before I came up but decided not to since I assumed that the trails would be packed down by snowmobiles (apparently I was wrong). Anyway, I had a wonderful time again, it is such a nice little place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Saratoga. I will definitely be recommending your place to anyone who wants to get away, it’s amazing how a couple days up there can really refresh a person! Thanks again for everything, Chrissy France, Unit 1, Feb ’11
Lenny, Both my wife and I felt the accommodations were very clean and good size for us and our two children ages 6 and 4. We do plan on coming up again possibly in the summer and will be looking to stay at BMR. We both really appreciate your hospitality and accommodating us on such last minute notice. The area is peaceful and beautiful. We slept like babies. Fortunately for us it was snowing as we there to ski but we were not able to take advantage of the night sky and a clear view of the stars. Regards, Ken and Donna, Jan 2011, Unit 2
Lenny, Blue Mountain Rest was a great place to relax and simply get away from the stress of the real world. It was comfortable, placid, and in close proximity to all winter activities. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. Lily Dmitrieva, Dec 2010, Unit 2
Lenny, We had a great time staying at the Blue Mountain Rest. We and no complaints and loved everything about our stay. We would all like to thank you for your hospitality. Thanks for everything, Joe Subrizi, Jan 2011, Unit 5
Lenny, The lodging was great, it was a very relaxing time for me and I am grateful that you are open year round. I read the poetry in the back of the booklet, and I must say that it was a privilege to read your work. I really enjoyed reading “Shadows in the Mist”. Will definitely visit again, and would highly recommend this to anyone looking to visit this area. Sincerely, Chrissy, Dec. 2010, Unit 1
Lenny, We are smiling when remembering the time we spent in such a great place like Blue Mountain. We bear in mind nice souvenirs of the excursion to the Blue Mountain summit. The panoramic view from there was gorgeous, breathtaking. It was a pity not to find a black bear 🙁 One of the nicest moments was the dinner at The Hedges. Have you heard about four Spanish girls playing Bingo that night? 😉 Otherwise, ask the staff. It will be worth it 🙂 Last day, we rent a boat in the Blue Mountain Lake and we stopped in an island where we enjoyed a great swimming. We are proud of having decided to go to Blue Mountain instead of other more touristic places in Adirondacks, like Lake Placid. Thanks for your recommendations during our stay and we hope we can meet again around the bonfire at the Blue Mountain Rest. Give us a call if you come to Spain. It’d be a pleasure to have a beer together. Gema, Irene, Patricia and Susana, Traveling Students from Spain, August 2010, Unit 6
Lenny, Here are 3 photos (posted below) from our stay at Blue Mountain Rest. One is of Buttermilk Falls in Long Lake, another of our hike up to Castle Rock which leds to the 3rd photo overlooking Blue Mt Lake. My family and I stayed at Blue Mountain Rest and we had an excellent time. Blue Mountain Rest is smack dab in the middle of the Adirondack’s, we found plenty to do near by, including climbing Blue Mountain and visiting The Sagamore, as well as visiting several of the many waterfalls of the Adirondack’s. Our cabin was clean, comfortable and perfect for us. The front deck is where I had my morning coffee, with a view of Blue Mountain shrouded in fog. The other visitors who stayed in the other cabins were pleasant and friendly. I am not sure if I liked having internet, because that ment that I could check my email on vacation…but I didn’t have to reply 😉 Thank you Lenny for your hospitality and recommendations to visit Castle Rock and the Adirondack Museum. We will surely visit you again!!! Christine Cormack and family, Rochester, NY, October 2010, Unit 2
Lenny, Thanks for asking. We had a great time over there, like always, very relaxing……Hope to see you again. Xiaohai Shi, October 10, Unit 2
Lenny, Here is a picture we took of Blue Mountain Lake as seen from Blue Mountain Fire Tower. Hope to see you next year. Robert Shields, serious hiker & his dog Billy, October 2010, Unit 2
Lenny, We want to thank you for the excellent service and attention we received while a guest at Blue Mountain Rest. The accommodations were just what we were looking for. By staying in the kitchenette apts., we were able to have our dog with us which worked out perfectly. She’s a very well behaved dog anyway. Blue Mountain Rest is just a short distance from where our friends live in Long Lake, so traveling to and from their home was very easy. The rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated. We will definitely make Blue Mountain Rest our # 1 choice when we return to Long Lake, which I hope will be not far off. We were very pleased and comfortable with everything you offered your guests. Sincerely, Jane & Bill Cease, Dave & Mimi Real, July 2010, Units 1 & 2
Hi Lenny, We had a great time! The camper (unit 6) was perfect for what we were looking for. We usually tent camp, so this was a step up. We liked being able to have a nice fire every night (watching the Perseid meteor shower from the campfire was awesome!!), and cook inside or outside. Thanks for suggesting hiking Blue Mountain; we did it and were very proud of ourselves! Blue Mountain Lake is absolutely beautiful and we got to enjoy it from the water as we rented a boat. The kids had a great time and we even jumped off of Rock Island! Thrilling! Thanks again for a memorable stay at Blue Mountain Rest. The Lucontes, August 2010, The Camper Unit 6
Lenny, Thanks very much for a lovely little holiday here, and keeping the place so nice. Best wishes, Billy and Ellen Sheils, Unit 2, June 2010
Hello Lenny, “The Homestead” worked out very well for us. The kids, ages five and nine, were a little disappointed that they couldn’t sleep in the top bunk because of no safety rail, but it prevented a squabble over which one would actually sleep there. There were enough other sleeping options, trundle bed, etc., that it never became an issue. Toby (our property manager) was very helpful in answering all our questions about the area and making all of us feel welcome. You will certainly be our first choice when we visit again. Regards, John & JoAnn, Unit 5, June’10
Dear Lenny, I just wanted to say we had a great time. The house was beautifully decorated and your poems were great. Thanks for sharing them. We did have a relaxing time. The (property) managers were very polite and helpful, gave us the best directions/ sugestions they could given the fact that they’re new to the area. I am attaching some photos for your comment page! Again thanks for helping us have a good break from the everyday! We really did have a wonderful time and hope to come back again, maybe next time in the winter and bring the snowmobiles! Angie Emmons, Memorial DayWeekend 2010
Dear Lenny, We had a great time. Loved having the extra room to move around in the house & the ability to prepare and store a larger amount of food. Would have liked a little more snow on some of the trails, but we were still able to ride to Indian Lake & then on to Inlet. Did not realize that there was not a trail between Blue Mountain Lake & Long Lake/Tupper lake area as we have been in the Lake Pleasant/Speculator area in past years. Sorry to hear about the Gov. of NY wanting to raid snowmobile trial funds to balance the state budget. Thanks for the use of your facility. Will contact you if we will be snowmobiling w/a group in NY next year. PS: I meant that we used to ride from Speculator to Indian Lake and just assumed that there would be a trail from Indian Lake to the Long/Tupper Lake area. Now we know there is not. We did not go past Inlet as we knew that an additional permit was required for the Old Forge area. We will look into getting that permit next year & try the trails in that area also. Thanks Again! Sincerely, Jane Yerkes, Unit 5, Snowmobilers, Feb 10
Lenny, Everything went extremely well concerning our stay in Unit #2. You said it right! The accommodations were perfect for just me and my granddaughter. Everything worked well (heat, hot water for showers, refrigerator, plenty of TV channels). The stove developed an attitude…… (I mentioned this minor problem to your property manager). But that was really no problem because I only needed one burner to cook breakfast. We did bring with us some prepared food for our dinners, and with that we only needed the microwave. Both beds were comfortable and everything else was clean. In a pinch, I was able to make it down to Gore in less than your stated 35 minutes, which is rather convenient to get to. For me, any more than two would be a little crowded, but for the two of us, again the accommodations were great! We had such a good time that we may pay you a visit next year (depending upon my money). Thanks once again for your hospitality, and I will certainly tell others. Darryl Lewis, Unit 2, Feb 10
Hi Lenny! We had a fantastic trip! The house was perfect for twelve, and we all slept warm and cuddled inside the cabin. We arrived and made a big dinner of spaghetti and then celebrated a birthday with some cake and cookies. We found the kitchen and the dining room to be perfect for our group! In the morning we woke up to a chilly -12 (coldest any of us have ever been in) but drove down to a small bake-shop and brought some coffee back. The two ladies working at the shop were so friendly, and really the night as a whole worked out perfectly. Thank you so much for all of your help in planning the stay! I’ve passed along the information about Blue Mountain Rest to one of my uncles who snow mobiles in Old Forge frequently, and he may be in contact with you soon if he can find a weekend to get away! Thank you again for a great trip! Jenn Anderson, group of 12, X-country ski package, Unit 5 Jan ’10
Hi Lenny, Our stay was very comfortable, we enjoyed it we were thinking about coming back in two weeks, do you have any available rooms for January 15th to the 17th ??? we are thinking about coming up for snowmobiling. Gina Napoli and Mathew Jonny, Unit 2 Jan ’10
Hi Lenny, We had a great stay and nothing but good things to say. Plenty to do and you were helpful with the activities too. Thanks! PS We went to Macaulay Mountain (small family ski mt nearby)…. and had a great time. Gary and Shannan Turkovich, Unit 1, Jan 10
Lenny, We had a blast! We loved the cabin. Only we wanted our own room, so Alan and I stayed in the double bed (spare bedroom) and we are use to a King. Ha Ha we got a bit closer that week. We went to Lake Placid ,Whiteface and a few small towns that were so quaint. We had more sunny days than rainy so that was good. We loved the fireplace it keep us warm and cozy on Christmas Eve and Day. We could have used a couple supplies but because of the time of year we didn’t find much open. We made do. We would definitely do it again. The views were beautiful!!!! I love mountains so to have a mountain outside the cabin (they were viewing Blue Mt) was a real plus many pictures were taken. Thanks again, Sherri Matthews, Unit 5, Christmas Week Dec 09
Hi Lenny. Our stay was just fine. Accommodations as we expected (returning customer). We had a great time snow shoe hiking on the Northville Placid trail and down to Rock Lake. Also enjoyed New Years Eve at Quackenbush (in Long Lake).. Thanks, Gina & Conrad, Unit 1 Dec 09
Dear Lenny, We enjoyed our stay at your lodge very much. The room was very warm and comfortable, even though the temperature plunged to -2F when we arrived. I snowboarded and my husband did a lot of sightseeing and photography. Thank you very much for hosting us. Happy New Year! Best regards, Marcin & Yanina Pokorski, Unit 2 Dec 09
Hi Lenny- We had a great time…the cabins were very comfortable and we were met with a beautiful snow storm which left the trails looking like a winter wonderland! We would like to return on Presidents weekend… is Cabin 2 available? Also, one of my kids accidentally walked off with one of your keys. What is the best way to return it? Thanks Amy Dodd, Dec 09
Hey Lenny! Just want to thank you for sticking with me and my reservations to get such a good deal for us on such short notice. The place was great, it provided us with a warm, spacious and comfortable stay. We really enjoyed the skiing although I broke my snowboard! haha We will keep you in mind for future trips and once again thank you for everything. Best, Dan Colosi, Unit 5 Dec 09
Hi, We had a lovely visit and would return. ….. we loved the cabin. We loved the fireplace and had a wonderful fire every night. We had a wonderful time visiting and never used the large TV. It was nice to have that as an option. The kitchen was beautifully equipped and easy to fix meals in. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. We thought the drive to Gore beautiful. We have happy memories, would recommend the place and would return. The girls even asked if we could stay longer. The skiing was very good, some icy areas. I broke my skiis and my daughter had a concussion. She is fine now and will wear a helmet. I bought new skiis that do better on ice. We all had a great time skiing with relatives, 3 other families with cousins joined us daily. We are all eager to go back, possibly this winter. Thank you for a special vacation! You may quote the positive comments. Mary Maloney, Unit 5, Dec 09
Hello Lenny, We are at home in Madrid, remembering our recent vacations and we are writing to tell you about them. We apologize do not reply to you earlier. We would had like to phone you at our arrival to USA, as we had accorded, but it was impossible to make our phone work. Although we arrived to your place a little late, as we had to drive a long way from Niagara Falls, we enjoyed very much our stay at Blue Mt Rest. The landscape was amazing; we were took a great many of pictures. On our way to Blue Mt Rest we had bought some food and we all prepared our dinner in the big house (Unit 5) and all was perfect. The houses (cabins) were cozy, warm and comfortable. The big one was fantastic. On behalf of our entire group, thank you very much! Best regards from Madrid, Cristina and Alberto Cid (Family of 25 traveling from Spain), Units 1,2,3,5 & 6, Oct ’09
Hi! We were all greatly elated on how nice the “Homestead” was. The “cabin” was very clean and well stocked with towels, blankets and pillows. I can not give you a “con” on our stay as we have already began talking about our next visit to Blue Mountain Rest. We loved the area and our hike to Castle Rock (local hiking trail) was a little long but worth the view. We ate in Indian Lake and the food was great in both places we went. Thanks for a great vacation experience! Becky Spike, Unit 5, Oct 09
Dear Lenny, Thank you very much for a wonderful stay. We all had a great time and could not get over how much we enjoyed your area. I learned so much about the Adirondacks and cannot wait until we can return again. We had a great experience with Camp Sagamore and a wonderful cruise on the WW Durand, we had a memorable visit to the Adirondack Museum and would have really lost out if we did not go to that, it was a real treat! We loved staying in the cabin and we were all very comfortable……..Thank you again for your generosity. It is much easier for me now to be able to recommend a trip to the Adirondacks after being able to experience a part of what your area has to offer. Next visit I would like to do more hiking and would like to canoe or kayak. Thanks again. Roger Goldmann Hudson Valley Travel, Unit 5, Oct 09
Hi Lenny, I had very a comfortable stay in your Unit 3 recently. I was camping at Lake Durant and the weather took a turn for the worse. It actually snowed the first morning when I woke up at camp. Now, I love the outdoors, but when your feet are freezing, a nice warm room looks very palatable. I was lucky to find a room available that evening at your establishment. To my surprise, the unit was an efficiency, which meant that I could cook the food that I had already purchased. The unit was well equipped, comfortable, reasonably priced and very clean. There was also satellite TV and WI-FI which came in handy to manage my eBay store. I am also a photographer and your kitchen table was a great place to view the pictures from the day on my laptop. Blue Mountain Lake is one of my favorite places in ADK. I happened upon it a few years ago while on a whitewater rafting trip. Since then I have set aside a week in the summer and a week in the fall to visit this special place, and I even came up on Christmas once. Thanks for the wonderful stay. The only other thing I could ask for would be a wood burning fireplace, then it really would be completely perfect for me. I’ll check out your website for the specials. Thanks, Cindy Kohl, Unit 3, Oct 09
Dear Lenny, We had a very enjoyable stay at Blue Mt. Rest. Nancy (our property mgr.) was very friendly and very willing to help us with our stay. Blue Mt. Rest is located conveniently to most attractions. We will think of Blue Mt. Rest for our future visits to your area. Chet & Barb, Unit 6, Oct 09
Lenny, It was great up there. We got a bunch of rain that Sunday, so that dampened our plans a bit. Also, our neighbor was doing some serious AM cooking and set off the smoke alarm for about 15 minutes around 7:30am… the joys of camping I was very much impressed with the accommodations. We hope to go up next time for a week and get to enjoy some more of the area. I appreciate the follow up! Keith Murley, Unit 2, Sept 09
Hi! We definitely enjoyed our stay, although I didn’t really take in consideration how small a camper bathroom can be :P. The area was beautiful and it was very easy for us to find places near by to either sight-see or shop, especially with the information Nancy gave us and what was in the unit for us. It is definitely a place we WILL consider in the future, although we would probably go for an actually cabin unit. Thank you again!! Nico Steenhuis, Unit 6, Sept 09
Hello – we had a lovely stay, and if we’re in the area again, we’ll certainly contact Blue Mountain Rest again to see if you have a vacancy. We really appreciated the cleanliness of the place, and also the fully-equipped kitchen. That was a real plus. When renting efficiencies or kitchenettes, one never knows if the kitchen will have much equipment, and it’s really nice when the kitchen has some nice pots and pans and equipment, as yours did, so that it’s possible to put a good meal together. We also enjoyed the poetry in the hotel information binder. Have a good winter! Anne Ofstedal, Unit 3, Sept 09
Hi Lenny, We had a great stay with you. The lady who runs the place for you (Nancy our property mgr) is absolutely terrific! We hope to be back next year and will look you up. Thanks again. Judi, Unit 3, Sept 09
Hello Lenny, Our stay at Cabin #5 was very comfortable on September 17 & 18, 2009. Everything… was great and we really enjoyed ourselves. Your manager on site (Nancy) was most gracious and told us anything we needed just ask. She was very helpful! We are definitely planning to be back next year, I will be calling you soon, thank you very much. Diane Thomas, Unit 5, Sept 09
Dear Lenny, Scott and i had a great vacation! of course, we had a beautiful week of weather.we stayed in unit #3 and it was more than we expected! no problem with anything. we are coming back to see you in Oct.09 to stay in the camper.we recently started kayaking and we were in 7 lakes in 6 days!!!! came home exhausted but happy.thanks for everything! Judy and Scott Francisco, Unit 3, Sept. 09
Lenny, this is certainly overdue but wanted to reply that our stay there was good. We were highly impressed with the Adirondack area…how serene and beautiful. Hopefully the state keeps development to a minimum. That museum was excellent! We stayed in No. 5. Don’t have much to say because it fully met our expectations. Clean, spacious, nearly like home with the kitchen, living room area, and deck. And quiet! I honestly can’t think of any weaknesses. There are just two non-house related things that you might want to do: (1) put directions in your detailed confirmation e-mail and a phone number of the onsite manager. We realized as we were approaching BML that we weren’t sure where to go once we got to the highway junction! Luckily, someone was walking his dog on the road and he knew where your place was. (2) The restaurants, stores, etc. in Indian Lake aren’t that great. We found the commercial scene in Long Lake much better (and Old Forge for groceries). Thank you Lenny, David Karasik, Unit 5 August 0
Hi Lenny, We had a very nice stay at Blue Mountain Rest. The camper was comfortable and Nancy was very nice. Best regards, Susan Floreen, Unit 6-The Vacation Camper, Aug 09
Lenny, Everything was fine…….. It turned out to be good that we still had the room Friday afternoon, since we went back and took showers after catching 50+ fish and before returning to Syracuse. I would recommend BMR to others in the future! Thanks again, John & Joan Dannenhoffer, Unit 3, Aug 09
Lenny, I just want to let you know that we enjoyed our stay in unit 5 (Homestead). The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had all the basic utensils and the items we needed. We liked the view from the large deck in the back. And the view through the living room window was really gorgeous. The property managers were friendly and helpful. BTW, we were also impressed by the honesty of Nancy? (our property manger), I overpaid by mistake, and she returned the extra cash. Thanks, Mengis, Unit 5, August 09
Hello Lenny, Our stay at Blue Mountain was fantastic! We are all so excited to return for some winter sports. We were able to rent a boat for two days though our lack of talent showed when we caught zero fish, haha. The property managers we very helpful and friendly and made us feel at home. My only regret is not having more time. The camper was very well stocked and I apologize for a cup that we broke. Till next time, take care and thank you so much! Sincerely, Dominique Saintil, Unit 6- Vacation Camper, August 09
Hello, We stayed at Blue Mountain Rest 2 nights and while some of us were a little disappointed that we weren’t closer to the water, it did turn out to be a nice place to calm down and spend quiet time with the family. We went to the Adirondack Museum and had a good time. Very interesting and the hands on parts were fun. Your managers were extremely helpful to us, gave us wood and matches and helped our son get a fire going. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Having the phone outside Unit 4 was so helpful – we really appreciated it, especially my older daughter whose steady boyfriend was also on vacation. Thanks for everything. David, Norma, Joanna, Melissa, & Elijah Bowley, Unit 2. August 09
Hi Lenny, We enjoyed our stay. The boat tour of Blue Mountain Lake is highly recommended, informative, scenic and fun, took a lot of pictures. Golden Beach on Racquette Lake was really nice for swimming since we didn’t want to put up with all the road construction in BML while swimming. We went kayaking on Long Lake and really enjoyed and thought highly of Racquette Outfitters. They gave us some lessons, helped us launch the double person kayak and the prices were the best in the area. It was fun in spite of the wind. We did a lot of shopping and eating in Long Lake. The waiter at Adirondack Hotel shared a lot of info on where to go and what to see and do. 2 general stores were nice to wander around and shop in. We probably liked Long Lake better than Blue Mountain Lake because there was more to see and do and the roads in Blue Mountain were torn up but your location was good since we also wanted to go to Racquette Lake and Indian Lake for swimming, a movie and a couple of meals. Your kitchenette saved us some money on meals. …. Overall, it was very nice. Joanne & Steve Callahan, Unit 1 – Aug. 09
Hi Lenny, The Foley family spent two great days in the Blue Mountain area. Frist off, we found Unit 2 to be cozy, comfortable and clean. We cooked spaghetti one day and grilled out for dinner the next. everything we needed was in the cabin. We made friends with a family from France (staying in Unit 3) and we taught their sons how to play baseball and lacrosse. Later that night the French family brought us jelly-filled crepes for desert. Em-em good! We enjoyed a day of island exploration on Blue Mountain Lake. What a beautiful lake. We rented a motor boat from the livery in town and spent the day island hopping, exploring, jumping off of island cliffs and hiking. The following day we had a great time on the Class 3 whitewater (rafting) on the Hudson river. The guys over at Adirondack Rafting Company in Indian Lake were great. Take care and if we ever come out your way again, we’ll definitely stay with you. Dennis Foley, Unit 2, August 09
Hi Lenny, My husband, Fred, and I enjoyed staying at Blue Mt Rest, as did my sister and bro-in-law, Alice and John Leddy. I think I told you all our very small suggestions. Thanks for the tour of the house. It’s really nice. Loved the deck and campground area in the back too. Hope to see you next summer. Best of luck to you and your wife with your move to BML, Fred & Eileen Bruning, John & Alice Leddy, Units 1 & 3, August 09
Hi, Our stay was great. Our goal was to get away and relax and that is what we did. The staff was very friendly, and helpful! Thanks for a good time. Andy & Amanda Wells, Unit 6, Aug 09
Good morning Lenny, We had a great time for our hiking weekend. It rained Friday evening and Saturday night, but we were able to do our hike all day Saturday and the weather was fantastic. We hiked from the Garden across Little Porter, Big Porter, and Cascade – a great day hike. The views were outstanding from the tops…… Unit 5 suited us fine – very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. If the weather was better on Friday and Saturday nights we could have used the deck and fire pit….. Blue Mountain Lake is very peaceful, it’s just a shame that there’s not a lakefront restaurant in town, similar to Quckenbush’s in Long Lake. (There actually are two lakefront restaurants open May thru October) We had a great time and will keep you in mind for next time. Steve & Monica Tarnowski, Unit 5, July 09
Dear Lenny, i have to say that i had a great experience at your hotel !!! …. i would love to come and stay again and again. it was wonderfully relaxing unfortunately, i don’t know when i can actually get away again this summer, which is sad for both my and the pup !!! thank you for your kind hospitality !! Lori caruso and “onyxx” (black chow/lab mix), unit 1, July 09
Lenny, We truly enjoyed our stay at the Rest, however brief. I have been telling everyone what a nice, clean, neat and fully equipped unit we rented. I’m glad we found you and hope to return next year. Katie Cauley, Unit 2, July 09
Lenny, Our stay there was excellent, no complaints. The unit was even better than we expected. Plenty of room, also on a note, places we traveled to each day we missed the rain. Thank You very much it was enjoyable. Ozzie & Janice, Unit 5, July 09
Hi Lenny, We had a nice stay at Blue Mt. Rest – very nice cabin. Enjoyed a trip to Hoss’s Store. The rain was definitely the low point. Have a nice summer, The Mahoney Family, Unit 3, July 09
Hi Lenny, We spent some excellent time there. My brother who came from Canada also enjoyed staying there. I would also like to highlight the kind behavior of Nancy. (our property mgr.) Pradipta Dutta, Units 1 & 2, Family of 9, July 09
Hello Lenny! Sorry for not getting back to you sooner! We came back from our vacation and got sooo busy! Thank you very much for everything and we really loved it there! We are considering coming back next year but this time to stay longer and enjoy of all the activities the area has to offer. We loved the cabin and everything was very comfortable! Have a good rest of the summer!! Yura Schreiber, Unit 2, June 09
Hi Lenny – We spent some excellent time there. My brother who came from Canada also enjoyed staying there. I would also like to highlight the kind behavior of Nancy. (Blue Mt. property mgr.) Pradipta Dutta, Units 1 & 2, Family of 9, July 09
Hi Lenny, its was fine…. It was a good stay.. thanks again…. Sal Alaimo, Unit 3, May 09
Hi Lenny, The stay was great!! We loved the unit 5 cabin! It was the best. We didn’t really want to leave and do anything during the day since it was so cozy! The weather was nice while we were there. It was a home away from home for sure! (Our slogan is ” your home away from home in the Adirondacks”) We will be back in the fall or winter! Regards, Amy& Josh Rose Unit 5 -June 09
Hi Lenny! Everything went great while in Blue Mountain Rest!! The camper was quite cozy. No complainants at all. Thank you for being so accommodating!! Jay, Angela De Veau from the Bahamas, Unit 6 The Vacation Camper- June 09
Lenny, It was a wonderful vacation at blue mountain lake we loved it..we went to see the (adriondack) museum…we went to buttermilk falls- water fresh and clean….the air so refreshing…we took pictures and swim on the side of the falls. we also ride in a kayakkkk…along the lake we waited for the sun down nearby the lake….and relax … ..also thanks a lot for a beautiful room it is really wow. i can recommend to my friends and relatives for sure they will loved it…good luck and more power to your business… Rosalina Rayos, Unit 2, June 09
Lenny, It was great! Good weather, good hiking, nice cabin. Duane Hybertson, Unit 1, June 09
Dear Lenny, Our stay was wonderful and relaxing. My husband wasn’t able to come because he had a family emergency in North Dakota, so my mom took his place. We had a wonderful time even though it rained. The house was great! My 16 month old son slept well there and loved running in circles through the kitchen and living area. We would definitely like to come back another time and hopefully get to do more outdoors. We found all of the local towns, Blue Mountain, Long Lake and Indian Lake charming. The museum was as good as I remembered too. Thanks for the great stay! Rosemary Kalenze and family Unit 5, July 09
Lenny, After hiking a peak, canoeing and trout fishing, it was great to come back to a comfy place with the kids and the dog in tow! We’ll be back! Thanks, The Kerr’s (left note in room) Unit 2, April 09
Lenny, Just wanted to report on our stay at Blue Mountain Rest. My family thoroughly enjoyed themselves and can’t wait to get back there. We rode snowmobiles, went sno tubing, watched two of the biggest blue jays I have ever seen, played games, enjoyed a fire in the fireplace and totally relaxed. It was great. The cabin (unit # 5) was perfect and accomodated 11 of us with room to spare. Very clean, functional and inviting. Everything you could possibly think of was there. No need to bring anything with us. We loved the decor giving us that total adirondack feel. A couple of the grandchildren were talking about going home and changing the decor in their bedrooms to resemble the cabin. The property managers were tremendously helpful, friendly and do a great job.. As a grandmother with grown children and grandchildren it was the perfect spot to bring us all together for some good times and create memories that we will cherish forever. We are already talking about another family vacation at Blue Mountain Rest. Thanks again for everything! Diana Bell and families – Schoharie and Canastota, NY, March 2009
Hi Lenny. We had a great time. We were a little baffled about where the trail across the street was because we were looking for trail head signs like we see further down the road. But we asked your manager and she explained it. We had a great snowshoe and ski down the snowmobile trail, spent some time on the Northville-Placid trail and a couple of hours snowshoeing down to Rock Lake and all around it. The new bed was nice and comfortable. Gina Carola, Unit 1 X Country Ski Package, Feb 09
Dear Lenny, I just wanted to personally thank you and the whole Blue Mountain Lake Rest staff for the wonderful weekend. The accommodations well exceeded our expectations and we absolutely loved it there. The Bed and Sled (snowmobiling package) was just what we needed and couldn’t have had more fun. Anthony Amato and his wife (Felice) were wonderful to spend the day with and we were so glad that he could show us around the beautiful country(side). Brandi and I would like to thank you all for spending the day with us on the trails. We had a great time and loved the company and the conversation. Very enjoyable and would recommend your accommodations to anyone wanting to escape from it all. Very peaceful and hated to leave. Would love to come and go sledding again sometime. Thanks again. Tommy Hengeveld and Brandi Bell, Army- Fort Drum (Tom served 14 months in Iraq. Brandi is about to serve a tour shortly) Unit 3, Feb 09
Lenny, My whole family loved the Adirondacks! This was the first time the kids and I went snowmobiling and we were smiling the entire time. As for my husband (Jerry) and Anthony (who rents the sleds), I don’t know who enjoyed it more. Jerry was like a little kid again and Anthony was thrilled with how we all enjoyed ourselves. I can’t remember a more exciting or fun vacation. It was a fantastic time, the quietness of the Adirondacks was amazing! The cabin was beautiful, you don’t appreciate the rustic feeling until you enter it. We loved all the wood planks in the living room and the fireplace. Nancy does a wonderful job keeping the cabin very clean and was very helpful during our stay. Expect us for the summer. I can’t wait to return to the Adirondacks in the warmer weather to try out all the great summer, water sports and to explore the lake behind the cabin. Thanks for everything, Jackie & Jerry Carol, Bed & Sled Package Feb 09 Unit 5 – The Homestead
Dear Lenny, The house worked quite well for our family configuration! ….. We cross-country skied at Fern Park (and did some sledding) and at the golf club near there, which was the best conditions for us as beginners. We tried to ski on the lake, but it was icy. The kids liked the snowmobiling trail across the road for (x-country) skiing the best and did it twice. We also spent a day at Gore (Mt), which was very nice. Oh, and I was quite taken with the ice skating and fireworks at Indian Lake for their winter festival-it was so small town like where I grew up. And I can’t believe they actually offer a free ski hill, which we ended up sledding on! It was a great weekend and worked out well for us. Thank you for your homey quarters and your helpfulness in setting up the arrangements. Victoria Myer and Family Unit 5- Presidents Weekend 09
Hello Lenny, The trip to Blue Mountain Lake was enjoyable. We arrived at Blue Mountain Rest and checked in. The cabin was comfortable and cozy, just wished that there was a queen bed (only in Units 3 & 5) since we have an infant. In all the trip was fun. Got to do some snow tubing on our return at Gore mountain, thanks to the brochures in the room. Thanks for making your trip comfortable. Vinod K. Samuel and family Unit 1 – Presidents Week 09
Note from Lenny: I’m prefacing these 3 testimonials with some facts. When these two couples booked their Bed & Sled Packages with me I found out they were Italian and from Brooklyn. I am of Italian decent and my family migrated from there. Anthony (Amato) rents snowmobiles and is a trail guide for my customers. Lenny Baglieri, Proprietor Lou writes: Lenny, It was truly one of the best vacations we have taken in a long time. No complaints at all. Anthony (Amato) really is a great guy, and we enjoyed every second of the snowmobiling trip (or at least me and Nick did). The girls loved the trip as well, but they were freezing 4 hours into the trails with the snow mobiles. I have been up to the Adirondacks before during the summer months, but to witness it during the winter is a totally different feeling. The room was perfect and we hope to come up before the winter officially ends, if not we will definitely see you in the summer. Thank you for an overall unforgettable trip. Lou, Cindy, Nicky, and Mariella, Units 2 & 3 Feb 2009
Nick writes: Dear Lenny, What a great time we had. Blue Mt. Rest was just what we were looking for. Serene, peaceful, and very clean. Too bad I did get to meet you but Anthony Amato and his wife felt like they were family! I swear to you. Great people very warm and hospitable.. WILL BE BACK THERE SOON ENOUGH… Tell Tony I said Hello and thanx for the great time!!! hey next time your in brooklyn let me know ill take you and (your) Uncle Peppino for espresso!!! Nick Brunetti
Mariella writes: Lenny, How are you?? we were looking forward to seeing you !! the cabin was very nice and comfortable …Yes we had an awesome time. we fed the deer’s, (went) snow tubing and of course snowmobiling it was fun and at one point i felt like throwing myself on the floor and asking god to take me!!.{sounds familiar} huh lolol just kidding .. i only felt like that after me and Nicky fell off the (snow)mobile and when it got to point when our bodies were so cold and in pain . ANTHONY and his wife were great i felt like ive know them before ..everything was great you will see us next winter…. thank you so much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mariella Magro
Lenny, I was one of Martha Hourican’s friends staying at the Homestead Unit 5 at Blue Mountain Rest for the second time last weekend and I loved it. Great, clean, comfortable and cozy place. We lit the fireplace and it was perfect! So thank you for a great time. Actually, I’m looking into going skiing again with a couple of friends and staying at Blue Mountain Rest again. What are the rates for a 2 day package (Stay and Ski Package) for the Homestead for the last weekend in February? It would be a group of about 8-10 people and we are looking at coming on the Friday night and staying through Sunday. Thanks a lot. Kind regards, Katharina – The Homestead Feb 2009
Lenny, It was really great. We all had a good time, and I’d say there really wasn’t one main highlight, as much as the trip as a whole was just out standing. Now I usually enjoy traveling to different places with my family and what not. But there was something different about being up in the Adirondacks. Aside of being with my friends. Like I personally just felt right up there, it may sound silly but I just got these really good vibes and it just felt amazing. Its beautiful up there, and it definitely seems like a great place to live.We also enjoyed your cabins, size really wasn’t an issue. It just gave it more of a cozy like feel to everything. I definitely see myself coming up to Gore again within the next couple of years. Thanks for everything! Jorden Yordee – Skiers for the January Jamboree 09 Unit 2
Hey Lenny, We had a fabulous time at your place. The skiing (at Gore Mt) was great! The temperature wasn’t too bad. It was -13 Saturday morning, but warmed up to 8 by the afternoon, then it was 8 on Sunday and got to 20 by midday. We got some fresh powder too for Sunday’s run down the hill. We have all too many highlights for your place. Clean, warm when we got there, friendly manager….., fully stocked kitchen, and the list could go on. Great fire place. Boy did we have a great time. Maybe next year that hot tub won’t be acting up. Anyway, my people absolutely loved it. I hope to get two trips with you next year. Thanks again Lenny. A very satisfied customer, Rick Switzer, MLK weekend Jan 09 Unit 5
Lenny, I have been meaning to drop you a line about our stay – we (and the dogs) had a blast! Your accommodations fit our needs perfectly. The room was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The other guests were friendly, and helped direct us to the local trail head. We hiked Castle Rock the first day, then skijored (cross country skiing whilst being pulled by a harnessed dog) the following day. …. Thanks again, we enjoyed our stay immensely! Carrie Redmond, MLK Weekend Jan. 09 Unit 2
Lenny, We had a great time, and really enjoyed skiing the woodland trails close by (skied/ in skied./out of their room). I was surprised by how few snowmobiles we saw on the holiday weekend, and appreciated how considerate they all were in the way they passed us. I knew the Adirondacks were special in the summer, and it’s great fun to discover that it’s just as special in the winter. ….. We’re interested in another three nights beginning Friday the (Jan.) 30th. What units are available? Steve & Alla Vincent, x-country skiers MLK Weekend Jan. 09, Unit 3
Lenny, We loved our stay at Blue Mountain Rest! We would definitely consider a return trip! We hit the slopes hard (at Gore Mt.) during the day, and then enjoyed cooking and relaxing in our unit in the evening. We also took a small hike in the beautiful snow. Could not have asked for anything better! Thanks, Brian and Oriana, MLK Weekend Jan. 09 Unit 1
Lenny, We enjoyed our stay at Blue Mountain Rest. The scenery was wonderful and the room had everything thing we needed. (After a second email response Paul rights to me) …The skiing at Gore was great even with the weather changes. It is a family friendly mountain. We met lots of nice folks. Thanks for having us. We’ll recommend you to others and will come again. Paul Owen & family, Stay & Ski Package w/ Gore Mt. Unit 1, December 2008
Lenny, I can’t say enough about the treatment and hospitality we were given while staying at your place. We had no complaints what so ever with regards to the room or any information we were given during our stay. We went snowmobiling on Friday. Anthony (Amato) was great (local trail guide and snowmobile rentals). His wife as well. Two really nice people. We then went to Gore Mt.(skiing) on Saturday. The kids had a blast. That to me is what its all about and it starts with the accommodations. We will be in touch again to come up for a stay. I’m looking towards the end of February. I will call you to finalize any specific dates. Thanks for everything and have a great new year, Don Heck & Family, Snowmobiling & Skiing Dec 2008, Unit 1
Lenny, Thanks for following up with us. The stay was nice: the cabin space is really amazing – clean, comfortable and a lot better equipped than any other cabin I’ve ever seen. I was still fighting a cold and my husband was getting sick, but we still had a good few days and managed to get some skiing in every day. If you get another snow like this (over 3 feet in the woods) maybe point out to skiers that there won’t be any trails, it’s either back country skiing (make your own) or Garnet Hill (nearby) – I think that’s what you were trying to tell us … In any case, we managed to make our own trails every day and enjoyed it. It’s on the list to come back to, maybe also in the spring or fall some time for hiking and rafting! Happy new year! Silke & Michael Bletzer, X-Country Skiers Dec 2008, Unit 3
Lenny, Thank you for the great time we had at Blue Mountain Rest. Everything was perfect. My entire family enjoyed the stay. If we ever want to come back, we will surely stay there again. Thank you again. Happy New Year, Konradas, Family of Snowmobilers Unit 2 December 2008
Hi Lenny. Really, they were very nice days for us. We enjoyed so much in your cabin. Our camp was a kind of retreat camp. We needed a quiet and warm place. “The Homestead” fit our needs. It was very warm and clean! There were lots of attractions around our place. We went hiking and ice fishing. Gathering around the fireplace was really very nice and never to be forgotten. In short, we loved your place and we would like to come back again. Thank you everything Lenny. Erol (From Turkish exchange students attending Albany State College) Unit 5, Christmas Week 2008
Hi Lenny. Just wanted to send you a note to tell you how impressed we were with Blue Mtn Rest. Honestly, your place is so homey and comfortable and very, very clean!! I am so glad that we decided to spend the weekend there and it will definitely not be our last!! Thank you also for allowing our dog who had a better time than us, if that’s possible. Please send our thanks to Nancy and Jamie (our property mgrs.) who were hard at work during our long weekend of fun in the mountains!! Hope to meet you sometime…. Chuck Traub and Jill Skeddle Unit 2 Oct 2008 Note: After I emailed them back thanking them for their testimonial (see above), Jill & Chuck then wrote me back again, with the following: Yes, we hiked Blue Mtn and Owl’s Head Mtn in Long Lake……I just love a good hike/climb. We went to Marty’s for great Mexican, had a nice breakfast at the Misty Mtn Cafe, and got tipsy at the Adirondack Hotel… then home for a great nights rest! We bought ourselves snowshoes last year but stayed local with them. We are thinking about coming up this winter to really break them in!! Our dog is Molly. She’s a beautiful, very well behaved Golden who loves the woods more than I do. She tried unsuccessfully to carry a huge stick up Blue Mtn but was thrilled to find it on the way down!!! We took it for her but unfortunately left it on the front deck. Adirondack sticks taste the best you know. …… Let me know
Hello Lenny, Conrad and I enjoyed ourselves very much… this was our first time staying in Blue Mountain Lake. We love the Adirondacks and we went hiking, biking and kayaking as planned. One rainy day we spent at the (Adirondack) museum. The neighbor in the cabin next to us recommended a great restaurant in Long Lake which we enjoyed, also Quakenbush’s and we ate one night at Indian Lake Restaurant…… you have a real nice place and I will tell friends about it. Gina Carola, Unit 1 August 2008
Hello Lenny, It was nice to meet you too! We had a wonderful time. We loved the white water rafting and have been recommending it to everyone we know who would be interested. We used Adriondac Rafting Co. and loved it (we got the discount for staying at BMR too). We also loved staying at Blue Mountain Rest, very quiet and comfortable. We love that we can access everything around there that there is to do. Also, it is very easy to check in, no hassles and we really enjoyed that aspect as well. As we get closer to the winter, I will most likely be emailing you to ask a little more information regarding the X-C skiing, if that is okay. Thanks again, and hope to be seeing/speaking with you this winter! Susan McAvoy Unit 1 Sept 2008
Hi, Lenny, We were a very rush when we decide to go on vacation this summer. I was afraid that we couldn’t find a good place to stay. But it turns out it was our best vacation. We enjoyed the stay in Blue Mountain Rest, especially the two kids. They loved the camp fire pit and we had camp fire every evening. On the way back, they are already talking about coming back next year. I’ll contact you earlier if we do come back next summer. Thanks, Hui Jin Unit 3 August ’08
Dear Lenny: Good to hear from you! I enjoy fond memories of staying in the cabin you rented to me last fall during the foliage season. The cabin was neat, clean, and warm, and the caretakers were courteous. My stay at your Blue Mountain Rest enhanced my tour through the Adirondack Mountains. Keep up the good work! Sincerely, Randy Wright Sacramento, California
Lenny, Very clean, good location to see other towns. We went to Sagamore (one of the Great Adirondack Camps), Lake Placid and Raquette Lake. We took the boat tour in Raquette. We also went to the arts center and heard a blues band. Claudia F. Unit 3 August 2008
Lenny, We had a really nice time, nice place with everything right. Mike & Marilyn Lates Unit 5 August 2008
Hey Lenny! First of all, had a GREAT time up at Blue Mt Rest – the folks were thrilled as was the rest of the family. Wonderful location, secluded and close to things at the same time. I ran every day I was there, which was nice. Thanks again for everything! Enjoy the last days of summer! Tara Mc Cormick Units 1 & 5 August 2008
From the parents of Tara: Thank you very much for our week. It was great to gather with our family from the east, west and north. Pleasant place. Love the area. Jack & Judy McCormick Units 1 & 5
Lenny, Our stay in August was great. We stayed in…Unit #4 and it was perfect. We even had a deer walk right up to our front door!! My wife and I also found that Blue Mountain Rest was in a great location to travel to the other lakes as well. Overall our stay was great. Kenny and Jessica Stavalone August 2008
Hi Lenny, We had a great stay at BMR. Your place is such a great deal… all the benefits of cabin living w/linens included at great prices. We were so glad to find your website and that you had availability. Loved the decor, brochures in the kitchen and TV options (dvd, DirecTV and vcr… very good for our rainy days). Thank you again!! Elizabeth Spencer Unit 4 August 2008
Hello, Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you, but I would love to share information about my experience at Blue Mt Rest. The facilities were definitely very clean. Aside from (some of ) the noise of traffic it was very peaceful. Cabin 4 was perfect for our family of four and if I had to choose a cabin to stay in, it would be this one. Both stays that I had at the cabins were well worth it and I look forward to coming back in the future. Take care, Michelle Pratt 2 visits in July 08 Units 1, 3 & 4
hi Lenny, We would love to see you one of these trips, but we’re not around much……. Despite missing you, we do love your place and are so very glad we found it. We’ll be getting back to you with the two weekends for next year soon. Hope all is well with you and yours. Jon and Barbara P. Units 1 & 2 July & June 2008
Lenny, We did have a nice time staying at Blue Mountain Rest. Our daughter liked it so much that she went back with couple of her friends. We were very impressed with how clean the place was. Also all the necessary things in the kitchen and the grill were very helpful. The first night we stayed at unit 1 ….. Then we moved to unit 4 which …. had more room. Our daughter and her friends stayed in unit 3 and they liked it very much. (Also, we like the convenient location to the store and beach). I sure would recommend the place to our friends. Hope you are having a nice summer. The Pratt family Units 1, 4 & 3 July 2008
Lenny, We all enjoyed our stay very much. The cabins were clean and the staff was terrific. ………….. The fishing and hiking were incredible. I highly recommend the (ADK) Mountain Grill for dinner. It was good food with reasonable rates and quantities. Thanks again for all your help and concern. Sandra Czarniecki Units 1,2 & 4 July 2008
Lenny, We enjoyed our stay at the Blue Mountain Rest! Thanks for providing us with a clean unit to stay in! Your property managers were polite, considerate and helpful! We also met a very nice young couple who we enjoyed talking to! They were staying in unit two! So, We will be back at some time in the future, but cannot say exactly when! Thanks again! Chris and Susie Hawkins
Lenny, The stay at Blue Mountain Rest was great. The cabin had everything we needed. Christine S. Unit 2 June 2008

Lenny, Besides the rain and cold the first few days, everything was great. Your management staff was the best. My family and I thank you for a great time. Michelle Morrow Memorial Day Weekend 2008 Unit 2
Lenny, It turned out to be a perfect weekend. It rained on Saturday but it was good rain – kept the bugs away and it wasn’t freezing cold. Then it became sunny after white water rafting, so it was good. We definitely had fun…. Thanks for the accommodations! I like Unit 5 a lot….. Regards, Carla J. Lenny, We all had a wonderful at Blue Mt. Rest.Looking forward to visiting next year again. Thanks, Saswata Sengupta Units 1 & 2 Memorial Day Weekend 2008
Lenny, Location and the cabin itself was excellent…… We are really happy with our stay at BMR. We are back in Denmark after a great vacation in Iceland, USA and Canada. Best regards, Line & Jakob Overgaard, Visiting US from Denmark Unit 2 May 2008
Lenny, I should be back up in late September to finish the Northville-Lake Placid trail. The Adirondacks are a beautiful place. The number of lakes and ponds are amazing! At one remote pond I watched a couple of beaver working on a dam. And hearing the loons and coyotes at night was neat too. Take care, Jeremy Stash Hiker/Backpacker May 2008
Lenny, Hi we had a great time staying at Blue Mountain Rest. Rafting and hiking were great. The accommodations were great as well………….. I will recommend you to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in that area and we hope to come back next year to raft the Moose River. Thanks. Joe M. White Water Rafting Package Unit 5- April ’08
Lenny, Our stay during President’s Week (2008) was nice. Blue Mountain Rest, was clean, well equipped, and excellently located for what my partner and I were up to in terms of skiing that week. It was also good value for money, as the New Zealander’s would say. The … kitchen was excellent, and the stainless steel counter was tops. … the accommodations were clean, the bedding generous and in good shape… I feel satisfied as a customer, with the Blue Mountain Rest experience, and would recommend it to my friends. Brik Miller
Lenny, We had a great time thank you. It was all very well organized. The place was nice, very clean, a bit of tight squeeze for 7 but with the ski passes included it was a fantastic deal all round. High points – very comfortable, pretty good cooking facilities, great deal. Having no check in/out was great. ……..So I hope to visit again and maybe even meet you next time! Martha H. Units 1 & 2 – Ski Group February 2008
Lenny, I think I’m still in denial that the trip is already over. I had a fantastic time. We ended up staying in unit #1 which was very nice and well kept. The area is so beautiful. It snowed the day we came up and all the pine trees with the snow looked breath-taking. Saturday and Sunday we went snowboarding and I didn’t want to stop. I’m already thinking of going again before the season is over if I can rustle up some cash to do so. Thank you for everything! Alicia Palladino Stay & Ski Package February 2008
Lenny, Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Blue Mountain Rest was exactly what we were looking for, and exactly what we needed for a weekend getaway. The cabin was clean, and nice and warm when we arrived late last Friday night. The extra night was well worth it. We skied at Gore both days. It was so gorgeous there, and the skiing was great. The mountain is so big we couldn’t really get bored if we wanted to. Overall, we were very satisfied with our getaway. We will be back 🙂 Most likely with a bigger group next time! Thank you…… for all your help in making the reservations. Enjoy the rest of your winter! Diana & John D. Stay & Ski Package Jan. ’08 Unit 1
Lenny, We had a really great time. The skiing was great at Gore, and we skied there both days. I am used to the really icy conditions in the Catskill Mountains, and was really surprised at how great the snow was at Gore. It was also great for my friend who isn’t as experienced as I am. Blue Mountain Rest really exceeded my expectations. I forget the property managers’ names,….. but they were really awesome in getting the room warmed up for us even though we arrived really late on Friday night. The place was immaculate and it was really handy having the fully stocked kitchen. I can guarantee you that I will be in touch to schedule another getaway weekend, hopefully next time with enough people to book the cabin with the hot tub! Also, I don’t know if you are aware……. but you guys are featured in Time Out New York, a magazine that get’s distributed around Manhattan and the outer boroughs. They did a special on ski resorts and Blue Mountain Rest is mentioned with Gore Mountain as being a great place to stay with great Ski and Stay packages. If you want a copy just let me know! Thanks again Lenny. I’ll be in touch! Lea Loustaunau Stay & Ski Package Unit 1 January 2008
Lenny, We loved the trip. The Blue Mountain Trail was actually our favorite because it was a lot less bumpy then the trails through Indian Lake. Pete (from Adirondack Mt. Sports Snowmobile Rentals) was actually expecting us to come see him Friday night but by the time we got there they were closed so we had to go there to fill out some paperwork on Saturday morning. Other then that, everything else was great. Thanks, Beth & Rob Bed & Sled Package Unit 1 January 2008
Lenny, The stay was awesome! It was relaxing when we did spend time (in the room)….. The kitchen was so great as we were able to eat in rather than brave the snowy roads. The managers were great too, as their plow truck came in handy quite a few times that weekend. Thank you so much and have a wonderful day! Meredith and Brian in Ohio Stay & Ski Package Unit 3
Lenny, We all had a great time. The cabin slept 8 very comfortably and we enjoyed the fireplace and close proximity to Gore Mountain. The only downside was that we wish we could have stayed longer! Thanks! Graham Unit 5 New Years 2008
Lenny, Hey…we loved our stay there…it was quiet and remote and close to both Gore and Whiteface, we went to Gore 3 times and Whiteface once, it was great to drive up to Whiteface through all the little villages and we ate dinner in Lake Placid on the way back right across from the outdoor ice rink…… the only thing I wish is that we would have had some time to explore Blue Mountain, we were on the slopes the whole time it was light… I couldn’t believe how much snow there was up there, it was great… what kind of snowmobile packages do you guys have cuz we would love to come back up to do that for a long weekend… send me some info on that if you would. Nate M. Stay & Ski Package- January Jamboree 2008
Lenny, We had a great time. The young men thoroughly enjoyed their fishing time, while us older guys did some open fire cooking. We had one of the best rotisserie meals of a roast that we cooked over the open flame, in the fire pit, plus corn on the cob that we soaked in water and then cooked in the fire as well. It was awesome and my son’s future father-in-law is still talking about the food. We spent the evening sitting around the fire until we ran out of wood talking and enjoying the outdoor evening. The lodging unit was great with plenty of room for all of us. We are definitely looking forward to a future visit, possibly a mid-week overnight stay for an ice fishing trip if you have any units available during the winter. Thanks again, we will definitely be recommending your lodgings to friends and family looking for a relaxing Adirondack experience. Al
Lenny, Thank you very much – we really enjoyed our stay here and look forward to visiting again! If you can, see about having Blue Mountain Rest listed at www.tripadvisor.com. Lenny, We love it up there and think you are doing a good job with your rentals……. Have a great summer. Bonnie & Randy D. Unit 1 July 2007
Lenny, Thank you so much for the comfortable, clean units. We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Mountain Rest. The cabins were spa cy, clean and had anything we needed. Dishes, microwave, toaster, pots, a picnic area, a bon-fire and plenty of bedding… We couldn’t have gotten better. Most importantly, thank you for the wonderful service, you really went out of your way that we should be comfortable. I wish you good luck in everything you encounter. Thanks again. Chana Krinsky [Supervisor for a school group of whitewater rafters who stayed at Blue Mountain Rest] Units 1 & 4 in June 2007
Lenny, We did, indeed, have a wonderful time there! Did you get the e-mail we sent you right after we got home? That was the beginning of some welcome much cooler weather for us when we were there which followed us home… good to hear from you, and thank you very much. David and Cynthia Unit 3 in June 2007
Lenny, Thank you. We had a very good time in Blue Mountain. The cabin worked well for us. I just asked Ben my son, he said “it had great views, nice beds… it was just great! Thanks. Chas Family of 4 that share interconnected Units 3 & 4 June 2007
Lenny, We had a very good experience staying at your place the house was nice and well kept. We hope to come back next year. Couldn’t go (mountain) biking at Gore because they were closed for construction work. We didn’t try Cunningham’s. Thanks, Tipsy Whitewater Rafters that stayed early June Unit 5 The Homestead
Lenny, Just wanted to let you know that my group and I had a great time at Blue Mountain Rest. You have a lovely place and we really felt at home. Thanks to both you and Kyle. Hopefully we’ll see you again next spring or the year after. George C. Unit #5
Thank you. We had a wonderful weekend. Blue Mountain Rest was very nice and clean. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and are talking about coming back in the future. Thanks again! Amanda B., Environmental Scientist Unit #4
Lenny, ohh I had a blast……. we did a little tubing, couldn’t really find any big hills but the trip was fun and the property manager (Kyle) was a really nice, understanding man. Thanks for the use of your cabin. Jesse Unit #1
Lenny, From a client who booked our Bed & Sled Package and was about to book our long time friend and snowmobile trail guide Anthony Amato: Everything was great! We could not have asked for anything to be better……Your house was perfect for us. Kyle (our property mgr.) was helpful and reminds me of a biker. Fits right in since 3 of us own Harleys. Real nice guy…..
Testimonial before the trip: I called Anthony and spoke to his wife first. After speaking….about the area and the best places to snowmobile I was sold. I was impressed with their honesty and fairness. ….going to take us around and give us a tour…..for the first half of Saturday. Again, you had a great and very helpful idea. We had no idea what his rate was and expecting way more. If we would have realized…..that you could get a half day we would have spoken to him sooner. Maybe you could state “Optional trail guide, full & half day …..give…an idea that your place has the ability to provide that extra that others don’t……”. We are not familiar with the area and he will know where there is plenty of snow….and show us the sites. We’re all so excited!! Thanks again for all your help.
Testimonial after the trip: Anthony was a wonderful (trail) guide and I am so glad you referred him to us. We would have never found our way to Indian Lake with all the road crossing and riding down the shoulder x amount of feet to find the other part of the trail. His safety tips and hand signals education was invaluable. He was great…….. Anthony took us to Indian Lake and assured us it was safe to go on, which we would not have been comfortable without his ok. He also showed us the Adirondack Mountain Grill (local eatery) which was another life saver….. Thanks to Anthony, we had a nice ride to the lake without trying to find the trails and were able to ride on the lake and rest at the Grill…… I will be thinking of you every time I hear how much snow you guys are getting there. Thanks for a great time. Sharon Bed & Sled Package, Unit #5 Homestead
Lenny, ….yes, we had a wonderful time. Kyle was very cool and helpful…. we left him a card and a small tip asking him to tell you we were very happy. Lenny, I absolutely loved the Homestead (Unit 5) and it’s surroundings…. we were able to enjoy a true winter vacation with the snow and all. Phil and I will more than likely consider next New Years …..I hope your holiday was great…hey…get that hot tub going, that would be awesome!!!!!! Thank you so much…. we’ll be back. Cathy & Phil Worth, Unit #5, 4 for 3 Holiday Special
Lenny, …..just back from Blue Mt. Rest. All my family members enjoyed ….staying in the Blue Mt. Rest and the vacation time we had over Gore Mt. and Whiteface Mt. We had a great winter vacation …… This is actually the first time we saw snow this winter. The property is very neat and clean, my kids enjoyed it a lot…., thank you very much on your help in booking the lift tickets, we had a great time skiing in Gore and Whiteface mountains. Zhan & Zhengqing, Stay & Ski, Unit #5 Homestead
Lenny, I was going to email you today. We had a great time visiting. The cabins are wonderful. Everyone had a good time. I hope we left all in good order. My grandson kept referring to the places as our new houses. He cried when he had to leave. I think he had a good time too. The boys were happy to be able to have a longer visit with each other. So all went well. Thanks, Alice Lee
Lenny, We enjoyed the area very much. We found Blue Mt. Rest to be clean, quiet & roomy. And…even without mentioning the discount, we thought your prices to be very fair. Funny- the school group you placed in Unit 5 ended up being 2 miles down the road from where I teach! Many of the students were from the town I teach in. We also ran into a couple that was from the town next to where we reside, …these are very small towns, much like Blue Mt. …(but without the lake). Small world! …happy to stay at Blue Mt. Rest again in the future. Take care, Sean Murray
Lenny, Yes, I had a very nice stay. I had deliberately chosen to come mid-week so I was happy that the place was kinda quiet. The (Adirondack) museum was great. I grew up North of (town deleted) and visited it jeez maybe 20 years ago and I’m a nature and history nut, so it was perfect for me. …… Unit 1 was perfect…. with the little kitchen, which meant I saved a little $$$$ on food.-more $$ to spend on books, etc. the museum. Also visited the Information Center in Newcomb — also very interesting. Thanks so much. Mary Ellen Barnes
